Job Purpose
This position is responsible for content ownership of creative assets from strategic concept to production and execution. The role is part of the larger marketing team that is accountable for strategy development, creative development, and campaign execution.
Job Responsibilities
- Works collaboratively with creative team and other partners to develop integrated brand message/campaign, marketing and communications strategies.
- Develops concepts, writes, edits and proofreads compelling creative, content, promotional and/or marketing materials, based upon strategic inputs, that meet defined objectives and are optimized for scale, efficiency and effectiveness.
- Co-develops editorial calendars that amplify key messages and enable streamlined content production.
- Uses rationale to present creative concepts and can defend work based upon strategy inputs.
- Has an in-depth understanding of direct response creative drivers and develops copy that delivers customer-centric results.
- Leverages an in-depth understanding of the audience to develop compelling copy that drives action.
- Articulates complex information through relevant, easy-to-understand stories.
- Builds relationships and develops a network of internal and external thought leaders to serve as subject matter experts and contributors to content deliverables.
- Ensures alignment with brand, business area, production and compliance standards.
- Maintains defined standards and voice.
- Uses performance data to iterate and improve creative assets.
- Completes and leverages departmental direct response best practices training.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Advertising, Marketing or closely related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years in a professional writing/editing capacity.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Strong attention to detail and deadline-orientation, ensuring consistent, timely, and accurate work.
- Experience working in collaborative environments.
- Strong strategic thinking and project management skills.
- Ability to take feedback and implement it into work products.
- Diverse, relevant work samples.
- Experience writing for the financial services or credit union industry a plus

Compensation may vary based on the job level, your geographic work location, position incentive plan and exemption status.
Base Salary Range
$78,400.00 – $117,600.00
