The Strategic Marketing Specialist is responsible for working with marketing leaders, product development, sales, engineering, and operations to develop and execute strategies that drive market expansion and business growth. This includes identifying and capitalizing on new market opportunities while also repositioning and relaunching existing products to support entry into new segments from vertical markets to aftermarket opportunities.
The role ensures that marketing initiatives align with broader business objectives, leveraging market research to craft compelling messaging and positioning. By executing comprehensive advertising, promotional, and social media strategies, as well as lead generation activities, this specialist plays a key role in expanding into new channels and markets. Additionally, the role supports marketing strategies for mergers and acquisitions and helps establish new go-to-market approaches to accelerate growth.

- Market Expansion Strategy: Collaborate with product engineering, research, marketing, and sales teams to develop and execute strategies that drive expansion into new markets and segments. This includes identifying opportunities for growth, repositioning existing products, and supporting the launch of new offerings to accelerate market penetration for both aftermarket and new vertical markets.
- Product Marketing and Positioning: Create and refine compelling messaging and positioning strategies for both new and existing products to differentiate CCG’s offerings in emerging markets. Develop go-to-market plans that target high-potential customer segments, driving product adoption and revenue growth. Utilize market research to identify expansion opportunities and mitigate potential risks.
- Content Marketing: Oversee the development of content such as white papers, case studies, blogs, webinars, and more to support market expansion efforts. Position the brands of CCG as innovating and thought leading, enhancing credibility and engagement in new and existing markets.
- Communication: Lead external communication for these expansion efforts across social media, the company website, trade publications, and other channels to maximize product visibility and support market entry. Coordinate internal communications to keep sales teams, reps, and customers informed about key marketing initiatives.
- Product Repositioning and Relaunch: Work with sales stakeholders and the Director of Product Marketing & Channel Engagement to execute strategic relaunches of existing products, adapting messaging, collateral, and sales tools to align with new and emerging market needs. Monitor product performance and gather customer feedback to inform future enhancements and repositioning efforts.
- Social Media Strategy: Partner with Marketing Communications to create targeted social media campaigns that boost engagement, increase product visibility, and build loyalty in new and growing markets.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to produce high-quality, relevant content that aligns with market expansion goals and resonates with new target audiences.
- Performance Tracking: Measure and analyze the impact of marketing initiatives on market expansion, providing data-driven insights to inform continuous improvement and strategic adjustments.
- Collaboration: Work closely with sales, vertical and aftermarket teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure marketing strategies are aligned with overall business objectives, supporting both market expansion and revenue growth.
Skills & Abilities
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, Journalism, or Business Administration strongly preferred
Experience:
- 3+ years of experience that includes communications, public relations, marketing, brand positioning, and lifecycle marketing experience
- 2 years of relevant experience in HVAC, plumbing, or B2B industry experience preferred but not required
Computer Skills:
- Skilled with MS Office
- Google Suite
- Familiarity with MAT and software such as HubSpot
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) preferably HubSpot
- MS Dynamics CRM experience
- Experience with project management tool such as Monday.com
Certificates & Licenses:
- Google Project Management Certification
- Content Marketing Creation Certification (HubSpot Academy)
