Reporting to Powder’s Senior Marketing Director, the Sr. Marketing Manager will lead all marketing efforts for the ski resort, supporting the overall vision for the Powder parent brand, that includes real estate and the emerging art program. The role will focus on marketing plan execution, development of assets and campaigns and is responsible for the daily management of Powder Mountain’s on-property marketing team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Integrated Marketing Strategies: Craft and implement data-driven holistic marketing strategies to drive the business and elevate the brand leveraging a mix of digital, email, social media, PR, and traditional marketing channels.
  • Management & Leadership: Oversee team of three managers across digital, content and events to ensure successful implementation and results.
  • Brand Storytelling & Content Development: Drive creative storytelling, campaigns, and unique guest experiences through concepting, creation, and development of creative marketing assets needed for ski hill communications and offerings across digital, web, social, print, etc.
  • Audience Development & Growth: Develop, assess, and refine marketing tactics based on carefully developed KPIs and learnings.
  • Agency Management Support: Serve as the key management and execution touch point with design, creative, and implementation partners and agencies.
  • Innovative Technology Integration: Embrace technologies to enhance customer experiences, streamline operations, and improve marketing effectiveness.
  • Community Engagement: Develop nuanced communication and marketing strategies that engage our local constituents and community.

Core Goals:

  • Revenue Growth: Work collaboratively with a variety of departments to support key business goals and increase conversion through messaging, social, events, and on-mountain experiences.
  • Elevate Customer Experience: Work with key stakeholders and marketing team members to elevate the customer experience for mountain resort guests by leveraging technology, programming and events.
  • Increase Awareness & Positive Community Sentiment: Work to increase visibility among new audiences for the mountain resort and increase positive community engagement.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, ski resort experience required
  • Collaborative work style – supporting teams and organizational changes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with content and asset production
  • Detail orientation
  • Exceptional project management skills and capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle crisis communication with composure
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
