The Opportunity
As Flock Safety continues to grow its presence across commercial verticals (retail, healthcare, logistics, etc.), our need for strategic, industry-specific, and impactful content grows alongside it. The company has an ever-expanding set of campaigns, product launches, events, customer stories, and thought leadership efforts that require timely creation and coordination of content across channels. We need someone who can help tell stories that resonate with Flock’s core private audiences, creating thought leadership content, and project managing the publication and promotion of a wide variety of content.
The Content Marketing Manager role will be integral in streamlining content creation and distribution, ensuring synergy across digital, print, and video touchpoints while managing the development of high-quality, consistent messaging across verticals, while writing uniquely focused content based on the audience. This role will serve as an individual contributor, working closely with cross-functional teams (Demand Gen, Brand, Marketing, Product, Sales) to elevate the Flock Safety narrative and position us as thought leaders in the commercial public safety sectors.

90 Days at Flock
We are a results-oriented culture and believe job descriptions are a thing of the past. We prescribe to 90 day plans and believe that good days, lead to good weeks, which lead to good months. This serves as a preview of the 90 day plan you will receive if you were to be hired as a Content Marketing Manager at Flock Safety.
Set up an SEO-based, keyword rich content strategy that introduces Flock to new people, organizations and markets. Some content should aim to build brand awareness and trust, and other projects should focus on producing new leads – blogs, reports, white papers, videos, presentations, events, and more. Build a content strategy that addresses all levels of the marketing & sales funnel.
Develop the content success measurement system and report to the rest of the organization how Flock’s content marketing is performing, what pieces of content perform the best, and where we need to pivot to increase performance.
Support product marketing team with content such as product and solution-based blog content, slide presentations, product cards and 1-pagers, and prepare detailed creative briefs for handoffs to other teams for finalization
Project management: Collaborate cross-functionally in Monday.com and Slack to give full visibility and provide regular updates to ensure content ideas are fresh, drafts are reviewed, and final versions are both published and promoted.
The First 30 Days
At the end of 30 days, you have:

- Launch at least 1 integrated content campaign for each of these three commercial verticals
The First 60 Days
- Set up an SEO-based, keyword rich content strategy, developed a sense of our place in the industry and built cross-functional partnerships
- Launch at least 1 integrated content campaign for each of these three commercial verticals
90 Days & Beyond
- At the end of 90 Days, you are rolling. You have launched at least 3 integrated content marketing campaigns across three verticals.
- You have ensured that Flock has the process, templates, and workflow in place to create on-brand content from design to publication on FlockSafety.com and across all touchpoints.
What a Typical Week May Look Like
- 60% Content Creation: Supporting the company by creating content to support commercial-specific marketing objectives
- 20% Industry Research: Supporting the company by continually staying up to date on what’s impacting different verticals within the commercial sector
- 20% Cross-functional collaboration: Supporting Marketing and cross-functional partners with industry expertise and innovation through brainstorm, ideation and execution of final ideas
The Interview Process
We want our interview process to be a true reflection of our culture: transparent and collaborative. Throughout the interview process, your recruiter will guide you through the next steps and ensure you feel prepared every step of the way.
- Our First Chat: During this first conversation, you’ll meet with a recruiter to chat through your background, what you could bring to Flock, what you are looking for in your next role, and who we are.
- The Hiring Manager Interview: You will meet with your potential future boss to really dive into the role, the team, expectations, and what success means at Flock. This is your chance to really nerd out with someone in your field.
- The Assessment: Our assessments seek to test the hard skills required to do the job. Engineers may find themselves in coding interviews or architecture discussions, sales roles may present mock discovery calls, and leadership roles may craft 90 day plans. Your recruiter will inform you of which assessment you will be assigned and ensure you are fully prepared for your big day.
- The Panel: Learn more about the team, responsibilities, and workflows. You should be prepared to speak about past projects, how you collaborate and communicate with others, and how you live our values. Depending on the team and role you are interviewing for, you may meet with several teammates as well as cross-functional partners.
- The Executive Review: A chance to meet an executive in your function and view Flock from a different lens. Be prepared to ask well-thought-out questions about the company, culture, and more.

💰Salary & Equity: In this role, you’ll receive a starting salary of $90,000 – $130,000 as well as stock options
