Job Summary

  • The Marketing Specialist is a cross-functional role that provides operational support and training to Marketing, MSSN, and MaxxSouth’s sales channels.
  • The Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing marketing and promotional campaigns and programs that align with the Company’s mission to grow and keep good customers.
  • The Marketing Specialist assists in the creation of advertising materials and communication collateral that is necessary to promote the products and services of the company to customers and potential customers. This role is responsible for crafting and disseminating both internal and external communications and developing and implementing strategies that increase the Company’s community engagement and brand awareness.
  • The Marketing Specialist reports to the Manager of Marketing, Media, and Special Projects. This position has no direct reports.

Essential Job Functions

The Marketing Specialist:

  • Coordinates and assist in general projects for the marketing department including customer acquisition, retention and maintenance through campaigns/promotions, collateral, image advertising/branding, consumer messaging, special events, new service launches, cross-channel selections, trafficking, proofing etc.;
  • Creates sales presentations and communications for, and provides training to, Inbound and Outbound sales agents for new offerings and promotions, new products, services, and pricing;
  • Attends, and recruits/schedules volunteers to attend, community engagement activities, representing MaxxSouth to internal and external stakeholders;
  • Participates in inter-departmental projects as Marketing Department representative as assigned;
  • Coordinates production, placement, and dissemination of all digital and print media for assigned products;
  • Creates and disseminates collateral for the Company’s social media platforms, managing customer interactions and escalating customer complaints, issues, etc. as necessary;
  • Builds and maintains relationships with community members, schools, local organizations, stakeholders, and partners to foster collaboration and support;
  • Plans and facilitates events for the Company’s internal stakeholders, promoting a sense of community and engagement;
  • Submits and manages invoices and AFEs pertaining to the Marketing Department;
  • Researches and performs market analysis to gain and maintain the Company’s competitive edge in the market;
  • Monitors and reports vanity metrics (vanity numbers) to determine campaign performance;
  • Creates and maintains databases, platforms, and reports necessary to the function of the business;
  • Provides operational support to MSSN as determined by the department’s management;
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent combination of training and/or experience – required
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field – preferred
  • Two years of experience in administrative and/or marketing related areas – required
  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) – required
  • Experience using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and SmartSheet – preferred

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Walking, kneeling, standing, stooping, sitting, driving, hearing, talking, vision (close, distant, color, depth perception, adjust focus), and use of hands and fingers. Light lifting of 20 lbs. is occasionally needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • The Marketing Specialist is a full-time, non-exempt position, working 40 hours per week, with occasional pre-approved overtime or travel to meet departmental needs.
  • The Marketing Specialist is required to drive on-the-job as needed and is subject to regular MVR checks. At all times, he/she must maintain a valid driver’s license and maintain a driving record the meets Company standards for an insurable driver.
