Job Summary
The Sr. Specialist – Marketing is responsible for coordinating and conducting marketing projects and tasks related to business initiatives, promotions, social media, collateral, website management, paid media, CRM marketing, public relations, brand management, reputation management (online reviews, etc.), and on-property materials as required to support business objectives and operational needs. The right candidate will be organized, detail-oriented, highly self-motivated, and have strong project management and communications skills. This position is fully remote.
Job Responsibilities
- Supports Director of Sales & Marketing (DOSM) in all marketing-related initiatives and efforts
- Works with internal and external parties to coordinate all marketing efforts and perform the duties required to initiate, run, and successfully conclude long- and short-term projects and tasks
- Delivers assignments on time, ensuring accuracy and quality requirements are met
- Tracks and reports on progress of multiple tasks and projects through completion
- Consistently communicates with DOSM on tasks/project progress; discusses challenges and opportunities; proactively seeks out and accepts guidance and support
- Identifies and resolves inefficiencies/challenges in related areas of responsibility
Primary Duties
- Gathers/produces content to deploy across multiple channels, coordinates logistics and traffics marketing campaigns/advertising, promotions, CRM emails, collateral, signage, and other marketing efforts
- Utilizes Content Management System (CMS) to update websites and create landing pages
- Maintains property listings and responds to/escalates online reviews as appropriate
- Collects and maintains photos, logos, collateral files, websites, listings and other assets/content
- Compiles campaign/promotion analysis, produces recaps, and communicates performance metrics with key stakeholders
- Composes and distributes reports, emails, updates, and various other internal communications
- Maintains customer database for CRM marketing purposes
- Stays up-to-date on relevant business and marketing/advertising trends, technologies, opportunities, etc. and uses knowledge to bring forward recommendations for enhancing our marketing efforts to the benefit of the business
- Ensures appropriate internal and NPS approvals for all outbound marketing
- Additional responsibilities as required
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years in a marketing environment, preferably in the hospitality/travel space
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite required
- Familiarity with Sharepoint, Adobe Creative Cloud, CMS software, and basic HTML preferred
- Understanding of the various marketing disciplines and familiarity with common practices and principles
- Skilled communicator with exceptional verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Highly self-motivated, well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects and tasks concurrently under minimal direct supervision
- Comfortable working independently, but able to function effectively as part of a team
- Flexible, versatile and a fast learner, capable of adapting in a fluid environment
- Comfortable working with internal and external clients, executives, media, partners, vendors and associates at all levels
- Present a well-groomed appearance and professional manner
- Able to meet attendance guidelines and adhere to departmental/company policies & procedures
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines under heavy pressure with multiple stakeholders
- Able to speak, read and write English fluently; strong oral and written communication skills required
This is a fully remote position. The chosen candidate must reside in and perform work from a company approved remote work location, and must agree to and comply with the current Vail Resorts Remote Work Policy.
The expected pay range is $55,000-$68,750. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
