Position Overview

SR Manager Email Marketing & Automation

TruGreen is seeking a Senior Manager, Email Marketing & Automation, with a strong background in lead nurture and acquisition strategies. This individual will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing marketing automation initiatives that drive the growth of our customer base and is focused on increasing lead to close metrics. In this role, you will not only be responsible for shaping the strategy but also actively executing campaigns to ensure success.

Position Overview

SR Manager of Content Marketing

The Senior Manager of Content Marketing at TruGreen is a strategic and hands-on role that plays a critical part in shaping and executing our content strategy. This individual will be responsible for developing content that resonates with our target audience while overseeing the overall content marketing strategy. The ideal candidate will bring new and fresh thinking to help drive expansion and optimization of our digital presence across channels.

Position Overview

SR Manager, Retention

Owns overall strategy and execution of TruGreen’s Organic Social marketing channel and Customer Sentiment. Responsible for developing social media content strategy for each channel (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc.) to elevate TruGreen’s social presence. Manages internal and 3rd party social media teams to develop and execute all social content (videos, posts, blogs, stories, etc) to improve brand reputation. Lead team responsible for review and sentiment tracking, responses, and insights.

Responsibilities

SR Manager Email Marketing & Automation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define email marketing and automation strategies aligned with business goals, focused on nurturing leads.
  • Define the overarching strategy for automating marketing processes including segmentation, drip campaigns, SMS and behavioral triggers for net new leads.
  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns from start to finish, ensuring they are well-planned, effective, and aligned with the brand’s voice and goals.
  • Design and build email templates, audiences and customer journeys within our marketing automation system focused around moving leads through the sales journey.
  • Develop and maintain robust customer segmentation strategies to ensure that campaigns are highly targeted and relevant to specific segments.
  • Monitor and manage email deliverability rates, identifying and resolving issues that could impact email delivery to ensure optimal inbox placement.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive lead nurturing programs to guide prospects through the sales funnel, ensuring timely and relevant communication.
  • Collaborate with content teams to create personalized and engaging content that resonates with target audiences.
  • Regularly analyze the performance of initiatives, leveraging data and analytics to refine strategies and improve campaign effectiveness.
  • Stay up-to-date with email marketing regulations, including CAN-SPAM and GDPR, to ensure all campaigns adhere to legal requirements.
  • Keep up with industry trends and competitive marketing automation strategies to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.

Collaborate with other marketing teams (e.g., social media, content, and paid advertising) to ensure a cohesive, cross-channel marketing approach for lead nurture and acquisition.

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with TruGreen’s marketing and business goals, focusing on building brand awareness, engagement and leads.
  • Write and produce various types of high-quality content, including blog posts, articles, infographics, videos, and more.
  • Utilize audience insights to create tailored content that speaks to different customer segments, ensuring content relevancy and effectiveness.
  • Ensure that all content is optimized for search engines (SEO) to enhance organic visibility and improve search rankings.
  • Develop and maintain an editorial calendar, managing content production timelines and ensuring consistent output.
  • Monitor content performance using analytics tools, and make data-driven decisions to refine content strategies and improve engagement.
  • Collaborate with the social media team to align content with social media strategies, ensuring consistent messaging and brand voice.
  • Maintain brand consistency and messaging throughout all content, adhering to the company’s core values and voice.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to create holistic content campaigns that drive results.
  • Collaborate with agency partners, ensuring clear communication, shared goals, and effective campaign execution while maintaining alignment with the company’s brand and objectives.
  • Work with functional leads to determine content gaps and recommend topic ideas based on key business and user insights and support the content lifecycle management
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices specific to content marketing

  • Develop, implement and champion customer sentiment measurement and goals, working cross-functionally to share actionable insights that improve customer retention
  • Lead TruGreen’s Organic Social channel, including overall strategy, content and execution for all applications (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.), working in close collaboration with Paid Social team to ensure cohesive approach
  • Drives strategy to build brand advocates among our employee base and customer base
  • Manages social marketing and sentiment budgets, allocating across channels and reporting out on benefit/performance to ensure we are maximizing return
  • Manages all internal and 3rd party social teams, owning development and execution of all social content, including videos, posts, blogs, contests, etc.
  • Responsible for identifying and implementing technology platforms to streamline and enhance social and sentiment strategies
  • Oversees cross-team efforts to listen and respond to positive, negative, and neutral social comments and mentions, constantly seeking process optimizations to achieve industry standard response rates
  • Manages TruGreen’s online reputation including monitoring for crisis and community management efforts, collaborating with PR team and Legal on communications relating to potential or emerging high-risk situations
  • Oversees all social listening tools across all platforms and provide social reporting on brand, industry/competitor and consumer social trends
  • Works with the PR/Communications team to define and maximize influencer relations strategies and earned media

Education And Experience Requirements

SR Manager Email Marketing & Automation

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, economics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in email marketing, with hands-on experience in executing campaigns from the ground up.

Proficiency with marketing automation tools such as Marketo, HubSpot, Pardot, or similar platforms. Microsoft Dynamics is a plus.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or a related field.
  • Proven experience (7+ years) in content marketing with a strong background in content strategy and creation.

Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a portfolio of published work.

Pay Ranges

$95,010.00 – $158,350.00

This range is based on the qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. Factors that may be used when making an offer may include a candidate’s skills, experience, and geographic location, the expected quality and quantity of work, and internal pay alignment, as needed. Most candidates will start in the bottom half of the pay range. The upper end of the range will generally be reserved for candidates with extensive experience. An employee’s pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. In addition to monetary compensation, we offer benefits, including Medical/Dental/Vision insurance and Company-matching 401(k) in addition to other programs and perks.
