As Principal Content Strategist you play a pivotal role in shaping the narrative and messaging strategy for ShareFile. Leveraging your extensive experience in content strategy, you will have a seat at the table with our executive leadership team to create & drive key messaging strategy to support a +$200M business realizing double digit growth in a fast growing market. Your goal: To develop comprehensive content messaging strategy and frameworks that will resonate with our target audiences, drive brand awareness and support business objectives.



Role Overview:

This role will collaborate with executive leadership and key stakeholders to develop and align content strategy with overall business objectives, leading the messaging strategy for marketing initiatives, creating high-quality content across platforms, and providing thought leadership and collaboration across teams while implementing data-driven insights to optimize effectiveness.

 

This includes:

  • Strategic Content Planning:
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and align content strategy with overall business objectives.
    • Develop and maintain a content strategy that supports brand positioning and business goals.
  • Message Development:
    • Lead messaging strategy and build storylines for key marketing initiatives such as our annual customer event, thought leadership and speaking opportunities, key product launches and more.
    • Craft compelling and cohesive messaging that effectively communicates our value proposition in our brand voice and tone.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent messaging across all communication channels.
  • Content Creation and Frameworks:
    • Lead the creation of high-quality, engaging content across various platforms, and work with 3rd parties and agencies to execute on content strategy.
    • Develop content frameworks and guidelines to ensure consistency and alignment with brand voice and tone.
  • Leadership and Collaboration:
    • Act as a thought leader within the organization, providing guidance, coaching and training on best practices and industry trends.
    • Collaborate with marketing, sales, product, and design to integrate content strategy into all aspects of the customer journey.
    • Work with stakeholders to create, review and gain consensus around content strategies, standards and topics.
  • Performance Measurement:
    • Evaluate existing processes and systems to optimize content and messaging using data-driven insights.
    • Establish key performance indicators for content initiatives and regularly analyze and report on the effectiveness of content strategies.

 

Your Superhero Uniform Includes:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field
  • Minimum 12 years proven experience creating and executing content and messaging strategies
  • Background in writing, journalism, and content development
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with the ability to distill complex concepts into clear, compelling messaging
  • Strong leadership and collaboration skills, with experience working closely with executive leadership

Your Superhero Strengths Include:

  • Masters degree and/or agency experience preferred
  • Content development and strategy at a technology / SaaS company is a plus
  • Growth mindset with focus on solutions and outcomes as well as continuous improvement
  • Highly adaptable and strong multitasking and organizational skills
  • Excellent analytical and collaborative skills
