Job Purpose

Our ideal candidate is a driven, forward-thinking marketer who can quickly gain a deep understanding of our enterprise buyers’ journey and deliver the right message to the right buyer at the right time. You will be responsible for Optoro’s digital marketing (website, email, advertising), inbound marketing strategy (SEO, content, thought leadership), campaign creation and implementation, marketing ops infrastructure, and supporting our press and media strategy to grow our brand presence and build pipeline opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and define the target audience and key buyer personas for Optoro’s returns management system (RMS) and create targeted messaging, content, and collateral to help nurture buyers through the buying process
  • Conduct market research to continually adapt key go-to-market strategies including messaging, positioning, and value-based marketing initiatives
  • Develop a comprehensive digital marketing strategy including website management, search engine optimization (SEO), inbound marketing, and continual optimization based on data and performance metrics
  • Create and define an end-to-end SEO strategy including relevant keywords to target, how to rank for high-intent keywords, and assess and report on performance
  • Develop the content strategy to attract and acquire our target audience and nurture throughout the buyer’s journey through various content forms including website articles, lead magnets, speaking opportunities, campaigns, and more
  • Build our CRM / marketing ops processes, customer and prospect segmentation, and create scalable, automated systems/programs to identify best-fit targets and convert website visitors into qualified business opportunities
  • Develop lead-generation campaigns and other top-level initiatives focused on new client acquisition to meet or exceed pipeline and revenue targets
  • Collaborate with our press agency and brand team to create compelling owned content that resonates with the market, media, and analyst
  • Continuously test and optimize assets to improve conversion rates, including landing page optimization, A/B testing, email optimization, campaign performance and list segmentation
  • Build and maintain reports/dashboards to measure the effectiveness of all marketing campaigns to identify and present insights and recommendations for improvement and optimization, including updating our MQL, SAL and ISM forecasts
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish strategic monthly, quarterly, and annual plans and objectives
  • Manage and contribute to planning for the annual lead-generation budget
  • Partner with external vendors and paid-media agencies to ensure performance
  • Cultivate an environment of teamwork, openness, creativity, and continuous improvement
  • Participate in executive presentations and take on ad hoc projects, as needed
  • This is an individual contributor role, with the possibility of becoming a people manager

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in marketing; minimum of 7 years direct experience in digital/website, content strategy & creation, and lead generation marketing
  • B2B SaaS/software and digital marketing experience
  • Strong comprehension and experience with inbound and outbound marketing, lead generation programs, database marketing, lead nurturing, digital marketing channels, pipeline acceleration motions, and funnel metrics
  • Ability to analyze marketing data and derive insights and opportunities
  • Experience building and implementing full-funnel acquisition campaigns, inclusive of integrated tactics from awareness through purchase
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Growth marketing mindset with a willingness to innovate to meet business objectives

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, and WordPress is strongly preferred
  • Paid media strategy/execution experience a plus (GDN, LinkedIn, Search)

This role is remote eligible in the following states: Colorado, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Vermont, and Virginia. The pay range for this position is $118-125k. The actual base salary offered will depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is also eligible for a range of compensation benefits including stock options and annual bonus.
