The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for various areas of oversight as defined in the Essential Functions below. This position is assigned to anchor service lines, as well as identified non-anchor service areas and a hospital or clinic affiliate. The Senior Marketing Manager is accountable for developing a knowledge of assigned service lines and affiliate to serve as a subject matter expert, creating marketing strategies and deploying tactics designed to drive growth in alignment with strategic planning initiatives and goals. This position will work collaboratively with internal and external partners and colleagues on a variety of projects and will serve as the project manager for the larger Marketing team to ensure annual priorities are being maximized for awareness and growth potential. This position reports to the Marketing Director.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions
- Manages a broad range of marketing responsibilities that are aligned with the strategically identified anchor service line and affiliate annual priorities, including:
- Ensures the successful coordination of the annual planning session for each designated anchor service line/affiliate
- Identifies service line strategy team members and holds regular meetings with the identified group to monitor and discuss identified priorities.
- Drafts marketing plans specific to the annual priorities and that are inclusive of all considerable in-scope tactics
- Manages the deployment of anchor service line and affiliate campaigns throughout the various markets and across various channels, including video (OLV and broadcast), OOH, print, radio (streaming and traditional), direct marketing and collateral (consumer and provider) development
- Provides support for patient-facing brochures, flyers, etc., promoting services to potential patients.
- Monitors spending for assigned campaigns against overall marketing budget.
- Provides regular project and campaign updates to marketing team leadership
- Provides marketing oversight and responsibility of assigned non-anchor service lines
- Maintains a high level of awareness of the service offerings, including the programs, providers and technology
- Assists with patient-facing promotional materials
- Project Management
- Serves as a project manager within the Marketing team by coordinating efforts with the content and creative design teams. This includes drafting creative briefs, setting and monitoring timelines, reviewing creative outputs and managing client reviews.
- Review all deliverables to ensure that all identified tactics within written plans are deployed within budget and the identified time frame and are consistent in overall focus and messaging to the Methodist brand and objectives of the campaign.
- Assists in the management of the annual marketing budget
- Works closely with internal and agency partners in the development and management of campaign budgets for key areas of oversight to ensure appropriate utilization and maximization of budgetary resources
- Works with the Marketing Specialist to ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner and to the correct department, charge code and affiliate to ensure accuracy in the overall marketing budget.
- Campaign monitoring and metrics
- Identifies and monitors marketing performance metrics and makes data-driven decisions to maximize efforts
- Develops regular reports and presentations that include campaign creative overviews and metrics associated with current and recently completed marketing initiatives. Presents reporting to appropriate service line and affiliate client contacts.
- Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
- Establishes proficiency in the healthcare CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
- Identifies and manages targeted direct-to-consumer campaigns, including both direct mail and email, that align with overall brand and/or assigned service line or affiliate priorities.
- Monitors CRM campaigns as they evolve and make shifts based on performance
- Relationships
- Establishes collaborative relationships and meets regularly with assigned service line and clinic team members to ensure open communication, information sharing and meaningful collaboration
- Regularly meets with affiliate senior leadership to establish trust as the subject matter experts and ensure leaders are kept informed of active and upcoming marketing campaigns and efforts within their assigned affiliates and areas of oversight.
- Collaborates regularly with agency partner regarding service line marketing efforts, including both creative and media strategy and placement
- Maintains collaborative relationships with marketing team members in alignment with the marketing team charter.
- Community Events and Sponsorships
- Review and vet community sponsorship opportunities to ensure efforts support overall brand, service line or affiliate strategic goals.
- Coordinate on-site presence as appropriate. This may include coordinating a booth or physical on-site presence, t-shirts, printed materials, branded giveaway items and overall brand presence. Work with creative team to identify and create necessary assets.
- Assist on-site with community events as needed. This may include time outside of regular work hours.
- Communications and Public Relations
- Assist with the coordination and deployment of affiliate-based newsletter or email communications as needed.
- Work with external communications manager and director of public relations to identify and bring to life potential media or public relations opportunities in support of brand, affiliate or service line strategic priorities
- Support affiliate social media needs as appropriate and identify potential social media opportunities in alignment with brand, affiliate or service line strategic priorities.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in marketing and/or communications roles, preferably within the health care industry
Experience
- Proven track record of success in developing and implementing strategic marketing and communications plans
