The Marketing Director is responsible for leading our B2B marketing department by evaluating and developing innovative marketing strategies to meet company objectives, planning and coordinating marketing efforts, communicating the marketing plans with all necessary stakeholders, and building awareness and positioning for our companys brand. The role will oversee all marketing, advertising, and promotional staff and activities. This position will evaluate marketing plan efficacy, along with customer research, market conditions, and competitor data in order to adjust and tailor marketing plan changes as needed.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Generate Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) to pass on to the Sales Department.
  • Develop and mentor a team of marketing professionals
  • Design and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to create awareness of the companys business activities and generate inbound selling opportunities.
  • Define clear implementation plans and ensure controlled execution of implementation plans to support approved Marketing strategies.
  • Manage and mentor all Marketing personnel, including hiring, training, scheduling, and monitoring, to ensure optimal skills and productivity in line with defined Marketing strategies and industry best-practices.
  • Source, guide, and manage all Marketing suppliers/vendors/consultants/freelancers to ensure KPIs are contracted and vendors successfully comply with contractual expectations.
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and maintenance of marketing technologies to support established Marketing strategies.
  • Develop digital and traditional marketing campaigns across multiple varied platforms to promote DATAMARK services.
  • Define and produce valuable content for the companys traditional and online presence including, but not limited to web pages, press releases, email campaigns, social media campaigns, newsletters, white papers, Power Point presentations, webinars, videos, and trade show booths.
  • Ensure comprehensive tracking, evaluation, and compliance with all Marketing goals and metrics, and ensure optimal performance of all marketing channels and resources.
  • Improve DATAMARK Brand recognition through various physical and electronic media campaigns.
  • Define, direct, and monitor continuous improvement of essential KPIs related to the companys SEO strategy, digital strategy, paid campaign strategy, and overall content calendar.
  • Collaborate closely with Director of Sales to support Sales efforts and ensure alignment in Lead Generation strategies.
  • Manage the comprehensive Marketing budget to ensure all monies support approved campaign activities and provide expected ROIs.
  • Conduct general market research and analysis to keep abreast of industry trends and competitors marketing movements.
  • All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education Requirements:
    • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field
  • Field Experience:
    • At least ten years marketing experience in a B2B environment, preferably for a services company.
  • Position Experience
    • At least five years proven experience managing a marketing team and marketing campaigns.
  • Other Qualifications
    • At least five years of experience with social media / paid marketing.
    • Ability to travel as needed to attend industry events and trade shows

Required Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with proven ability to create and deliver C-suite level presentations
  • Graphic design experience with print and electronic media
  • Acute skills for content writing across varied marketing media
  • Comprehensive knowledge of web analytics (e.g. Google Analytics, WebTrends, Adwords, etc)
  • Superb attention to detail
  • Computer proficient
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects; project management certification a plus.

  • Ability to effectively work with Senior Management
  • Must have a high degree of creativity, as well as a strong drive to achieve results.
