Summary
The Marketing Manager Private Label is responsible for development, implementation, and on-going management of private label offerings for RTC (Fresh/Frozen). This person is responsible for product line profitability and mix in support of the whole-bird strategy. Works cross-functionally to lead the development and implementation of product reformulations, cost saving. Leads cross-functional team to develop product & packaging requirements consistent with customer requirements. Channels of responsibility include traditional supermarkets, mass, club, and specialty retail channels (limited assortment & dollar). Product lines include RTC (Fresh/Frozen) Private Label.
Principal And Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Develops and Implements annual business plan including all objectives, strategies, and tactics to achieve volume, and revenue goals. Develop and Implements the long term Private Label Strategy and Guidelines.
- Manages product Line P&L and assortment to optimize profitability and support broader whole bird & facility utilization strategy.
- Utilizes syndicated data and internal data to analyze and track product line performance to develop recommendations to improve business results.
- Utilizes Stage Gate process in managing cross-functional teams (Sales Planning, RGM, Category Management, Profit Optimization Team, Packaging, Operations, R&D) and Customer contacts to ensure projects get to market on time and are successful.
- Reconciles the monthly Private Label Packaging and MWO budget.
Minimum Education
BS degree or equivalent related work experience in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing is preferred plus 5+ years related work experience. MBA preferred.
Experience Requirements
- Portfolio Management and/or Project Management experience.
- Consumer packaged product experience with emphasis in commodity markets and/or meat specific experience a plus.
