The Marketing Manager role is a key, high-visibility role responsible for leading strategy and execution of marketing campaigns, programs and promotions for business development, the retail branch channel, and key member and prospect touchpoints. This role serves as an internal champion for brand consistency and drive member engagement through effective branch marketing, merchandising and channel integration. The marketing manager will partner with internal stakeholders to evolve, create or enhance products, services and promotions to build adoption and loyalty.
This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to create strong cross-functional partnerships to ensure marketing efforts—both physical and digital—are aligned, impactful, and support the Credit Union’s goals for member growth, retention, and product adoption.
Key Responsibilities
Branch Marketing & Merchandising
- Marketing Face to the Frontline: Serve as primary liaison between Marketing, Branch Leadership, Branch Operations and frontline teams. Gather feedback, communicate marketing priorities, and ensure retail branches are equipped to deliver the intended member experience.
- Lead Branch Merchandising Strategy: Develop, execute, and manage strategy for in-branch marketing and merchandising, including signage, wayfinding, digital screens, interactive displays, ATMs, and other touchpoints. Responsible for brand merchandising (existing and new), supporting new remodels and openings with merchandising, events and promotions/campaigns.
- Digital-to-Physical Integration: Drive evolution of in-branch marketing by integrating digital tools and strategies (e.g., QR codes, digital screens) with the physical environment (merchandising, music) to create a seamless, modern member journey.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee creation, distribution, and setup of branch merchandising and collateral, including managing vendors, coordinating with in-house stakeholders, and creating detailed merchandising guides and frontline playbooks to ensure flawless execution across all locations.
Products, Promotions and Programs
- Marketing Campaigns, Promotions and Programs: Partner closely with Product teams and Marketing team to ensure campaigns, promotions, and product launches are effectively communicated and executed at branch channel and member/ prospect touchpoints.
- Key Member Communications: Manage the strategy, creative review, and deployment of designated member-facing materials, including statements, statement messages, rate changes, transaction-related communications, ensuring regulatory compliance and a consistent brand voice across core channels – website, digital and branch.
- Internal Advocacy & Training: Create engaging, clear, and timely internal communications to educate frontline staff on upcoming campaigns, talking points, product features, and merchandising changes. Host training or produce videos to ensure successful campaign adoption.
Performance, Compliance, and Collaboration
- Measurement and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for branch marketing efforts and regular analysis to measure effectiveness (e.g., product uplift; brand audits); provide actionable reporting to leadership.
- Compliance and Brand Integrity: Serve as a marketing liaison for the Compliance team, reviewing and submitting proofs for branch and member-facing materials to ensure adherence to all regulatory and brand guidelines.
- Process Improvement: Optimize workflows for production and delivery of marketing assets, striving for efficiency and quality in all operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent is required. Two years of equivalent experience can substitute for every one year of education
- Experience: 7-10 years of progressive experience in marketing, with a focus on retail and/or product marketing, and physical merchandising. Experience in financial services is strongly desired.
Competencies
- Skills: Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, drive cross-functional alignment, and translate business objectives into effective marketing execution.
- Technical Proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe required; Figma, Canva a plus. Fluency in digital signage content management systems (CMS), strong understanding of physical merchandising best practices, and proficiency with project management and reporting tools.
- Leadership & Communication: Exceptional presentation, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Self-starter with proven track record building trust with internal stakeholders and frontline staff.

Base Pay/Salary: $85,000 – $110,000 annually
- Actual base pay within this range will be determined by several components, including but not limited to, relevant experience, internal equity, skills, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
