The Senior Marketing Associate implements creative marketing campaigns for assigned titles under the guidance of the VP of Marketing, communicates plans with internal and external stakeholders, develops social media strategies, creates campaign content, and manages outreach to potential publication partners.

Our home office location is Mount Joy, PA. The ideal candidate can commute to the home office location Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. Remote candidates will be considered but must be able to commute to the home office 3 times per year for sales conference.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • With guidance from the VP of Marketing, implement creative marketing campaigns for assigned titles, and support team with campaign work
  • Communicate campaign plans and updates with internal stakeholders and externally with authors and agents
  • Preparing materials for marketing and sales meetings and taking departmental notes
  • Document marketing activities in internal tracking systems and formal campaign summaries
  • Working with our digital marketing specialist, develop social media strategies for assigned titles including content creation, messaging, and timelines
  • Analyzes performance on key marketing tactics using sales data reporting dashboards
  • Work with VP of Marketing and Director of Publicity to identify and spearhead outreach to potential publication partners (influencers, networks, organizations, brands, etc.)
  • Work in industry systems, such as Edelweiss, Goodreads and NetGalley, to add and update book and marketing data
  • Organize and manage review and influencer mailings

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • College degree or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of marketing experience
  • Ability to work cross-functionally across the division and within the company and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills, positive attitude, and a high level of professionalism, creativity, and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the digital landscape, current marketing trends, metadata optimization and social media best practices
  • MS Office Suite required; Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design programs are a bonus, plus a keen eye for design
  • Passion for the book publishing business
