Reporting directly to the Director, you’ll collaborate with a team of digital innovators, co-creating and executing cutting-edge strategies that transform passive listeners into passionate communities. Your expertise will be the engine driving our artists’ success, crafting bespoke digital experiences that resonate deeply and drive authentic engagement.
We’re looking for a passionate digital marketer who can masterfully conduct campaigns across every key platform and tool. Your fluency with trends and viral content will be crucial, helping to unlock and amplify an artist’s digital footprint for unparalleled campaign performance. Beyond the viral data, you’re skilled in fandoms, understanding the ebbs and flows of what fans want and how best to activate them during a campaign. We’re also searching for someone who can get into the mix with artists – explaining our approaches and the digital landscape and making them excited to be a part of it.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Work closely with artists, managers and extended teams to proactively create and implement innovative digital marketing strategies for artist roster, to engage with and grow audiences.
- Digital marketing strategy to include (but is not limited to): social media strategy & planning, digital platform partnerships, creator partnerships, content planning, first party data growth & communication, community building, creative & innovative digital executions, website build & maintenance.
- Closely follow (and create!) the latest trends and proactively strategize ways for our artists and music to lead cultural conversation and internet discourse.
- Work closely with the insights team to gather digital health checks to analyze audience-related and performance data, creating meaningful reports that can inform artists & managers.
- Strategize & deliver artist database growth and CRM strategy, via traditional and developing means; email marketing, community-based platforms, messaging services, etc.
- Actively engage with AI, new tech, and emerging innovation topics, to spark fresh ideas for marketing campaigns.
- Strategize and implement content planning across all core digital channels (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, X & new, relevant platforms as and when they emerge) for roster of artists.
- Create, pitch, implement and manage innovative marketing and content opportunities with all digital partners.
- Actively seek out information on evolving digital/tech trends, crossover areas with other industries in the digital space, and platforms & offerings.
- Work closely & collaboratively with internal team, content producers, creative directors, videographers/photographers, editors and designers to deliver planned content.
What You Bring
- You have experience in digital marketing or social media, preferably in the music or entertainment industries.
- You’re a master of top social platforms, stay ahead of trends, and drive the creation and optimization of killer digital content, bringing your social media savvy and data-driven ideas to the table to maximize artist reach and engagement.
- You have run engaging and innovative creator partnerships, with a tangible impact on driving campaigns forward.
- You can shape and execute cutting-edge digital strategies that elevate BMG’s artist roster in a fast-paced, competitive environment.
- You have a high interest in AI, new tech, and drive innovation by integrating third-party APIs into product workflows to enhance marketing initiatives and user experiences.
- You are practical and organized, familiar with music industry tools for analytics, smart-linking, advertising, social posting, etc.
- You have experience with fandoms and understand how best to activate, excite and delight them around a release.
- You have exceptional attention to detail and the ability to track and follow through on multiple concurrent projects to completion.
- Respectful, honest and confident communication skills, happy to work within a team and manage others.
- Passion for, and a knowledge of, the music industry including being well-versed in a variety of genres and up to date on music industry status quo.
What Would Be A Plus
- Experience in feeding meme culture and seeding content out to help it spread online through different communities.
- Experience building custom landing pages, micro-sites, or unique fan/artist experiences.
- Integrated Digital Service Providers (DSPs), social platforms, or e-commerce solutions to create seamless digital ecosystems.
- Experience connecting various marketing platforms, CRM systems, CMS tools, or analytics platforms to streamline operations and insights.
- Ability to build custom data pipelines or automations to optimize workflows and reporting.

Pay Range
$75,000 – $81,500 per annum
The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
