The Manager, Paid Media Strategy & Analytics is the strategic lead for paid media execution across all channels, responsible for driving efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation in paid tactics. This role manages a multi-million-dollar budget, ensuring responsible cash spend and fulfillment of trade commitments, while delivering measurable impact across marketing initiatives.
The Manager will work closely with MLB partner teams—including Performance Media, Marketing Analytics, and Product—to integrate new platforms, tools, and programs that enhance paid media performance. They will also collaborate across the marketing team to size new opportunities, evaluate emerging paid media trends, and assess the impact of marketing innovations.
A key responsibility of this role is identifying audience trends and analyzing messaging and creative performance to ensure paid media resonates with fans. The Manager will make strategic recommendations to optimize content and targeting, driving stronger engagement and conversion across campaigns.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead our paid media channel strategy, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of our paid media tactics.
- Manage multi-million dollar budget and ensure we are responsibly spending cash budgets and delivering on trade deals.
- Coordinate directly with various MLB partner teams (Performance Media, Marketing Analytics, Product) to execute and integrate new platforms, tools and programs.
- Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and development/automation of regular reports.
- Use data analysis, data mining and segmentation to identify key customer insights, deliver recommendations, and build growth forecasts and budget plans for the Marketing team.
- Own/manage data model and data pipeline that enables attribution tracking and metadata for performance marketing and our paid tactics.
- Lead the development and maintenance of marketing-specific dashboards that will clearly visualize KPIs, performance drivers, and tracking towards goals.
- Coordinate across marketing team, providing optimization strategies, accurately size new opportunities, and seek improved methods for assessing the value of marketing innovations.
- Serve as main liaison with BSA to implement attribution logic, LTV measurement and other projects to drive overall business growth.
- Analyzes external and internal customer data using database queries, statistical analysis tools, and campaign management software tools.
- Provide actionable overall marketing, data and customer insights to address strategic questions across relevant external marketing efforts.
- Monitor trends within the broader paid media and advertising space and evaluate opportunities to launch and scale new tactics, in partnership with the MLB.
- Analyze campaign performance and identify consumer preferences as it relates to preferred messaging and creative.
- Advise other marketing functions (app, website, online/offline advertising, brand, product development) as the knowledge owner for customer and market data.
Requirements:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military experience.
- Minimum of five years of professional experience in Paid Media, Marketing Analytics or Advertising/Marketing.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions
- Capable of managing multiple projects working independently with a strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in creating and maintaining dashboards that visualize KPIs, performance drivers, and goal tracking.
- Strong ability to analyze campaign performance, customer behavior, and media effectiveness using tools like Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
- Ability to analyze consumer preferences and advise on messaging and creative direction.
- Awareness of emerging paid media trends and ability to evaluate new platforms and tactics.
- Ability to translate marketing performance into business impact and strategic recommendations.
- Experience with project management software.

Physical/Environmental Requirements
- Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work will require occasional weekend, holiday and/or evening work. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
Compensation:
The projected annual salary range for this position is $77,300 – $93,000 per year. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
