Social Media and Marketing Specialist

Golden Nugget: Responsible for coordinating all facets of Golden Nugget and Golden Nugget Laughlin social media and PR activity. This role also supports the Digital Marketing Manager and Graphic Designers with advertising materials.

The position requires delivering a high level of professional and personalized guest service aligned with the company’s core values (K.E.E.P. – Kindness, Engagement, Empathy, and Positivity).

Responsibilities:

  • Create engaging content across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, TikTok, and LinkedIn
  • Respond to guest comments, inquiries, and reviews across social and travel platforms
  • Guide social media strategies and advertising initiatives
  • Identify innovative tools and opportunities to promote the brand
  • Recommend and coordinate influencer marketing campaigns
  • Manage relationships with PR agencies and corporate PR
  • Prepare leadership for PR opportunities
  • Maintain and distribute press kits and press releases
  • Track and consolidate media coverage
  • Coordinate media events, promotions, and familiarization trips
  • Keep media listings current
  • Assist with video and photo shoots
  • Support special events and marketing initiatives
  • Manage creative requests, proofing, and timelines
  • Coordinate with vendors for pricing and fulfillment
  • Perform website content updates
  • Maintain relationships with internal teams for advertising materials
  • Ensure on-property advertising is current and in good condition
  • Perform additional marketing-related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in major social media platforms
  • Ability to capture high-quality photo and video content via smartphone
  • Experience with video editing tools (e.g., CapCut)
  • Ability to manage content calendars across multiple accounts
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Experience with Meta Ads is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows applications
  • Familiarity with project management tools is a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in casino, hotel, travel industry, or agency
  • Minimum age requirement: 21
  • Basic mathematical skills required
  • Ability to understand policies and complete reports
  • Strong communication skills with guests, staff, and management
