Description:
Salt Lake County is seeking a Marketing & Branding Specialist to develop and coordinate marketing, branding, and graphic design initiatives for Clark Planetarium. This role combines strategic marketing with hands-on creative execution to promote programs, exhibits, events, and institutional identity.
The position involves creating engaging visual and written content, maintaining brand consistency across digital and print platforms, and supporting marketing campaigns that connect with the community. You will collaborate with internal teams, contribute to long-term branding strategies, and support both qualitative and quantitative market research efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, and produce marketing and branding materials including graphics, layouts, and messaging
- Support long-term marketing and branding strategies
- Maintain brand standards across all communication channels
- Design print and digital assets such as ads, social media graphics, and promotional materials
- Lead committees and support marketing initiatives and events
- Collaborate with internal teams to create effective campaigns
- Support campaign tracking, asset organization, and reporting
- Conduct market research and assist in proposal development
- Oversee temporary staff and improve workflows
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, graphic design, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
- Strong understanding of marketing principles, branding, and design
- Experience creating content across digital and print platforms
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
