The Senior Associate, Social Media Specialist leads day-to-day social media content strategy, creation and platform management to drive awareness, engagement and follower growth for our brand by developing, scheduling and analyzing content across platforms.

The Social Media Specialist bridges strategy and execution, collaborating with business leaders and the marketing team to develop engaging, brand-aligned, social-first content (graphics, videos, copywriting) for various social platforms.

This role is based in our Boston office.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and execute a comprehensive social media content strategy, developing campaigns and content that enhance brand awareness, channel growth and engagement.
  • Create and manage content calendars for social platforms, ensuring consistent posting and fostering community engagement.
  • Collaborate with digital and creative to develop content that aligns with overall brand identity, goals and budget and establish best practices for optimizing content (video, imagery, etc.) across channels.
  • Plan, execute and optimize paid social media campaigns to meet business objectives.
  • Amplify executive social media presence on Gordon Brothers social properties.
  • Partner with the internal communications and HR team to develop social media strategy to support Gordon Brothers employer brand program.
  • Create content that demonstrates Gordon Brothers’ culture, engages current employees and attracts job seekers.
  • Define KPIs to monitor and measure the impact of the employer brand social media program over time.
  • Establish firmwide social media guidelines and best practices designed to foster employee engagement on social media to drive business development.
  • Monitor and respond to public inquiries/comments across social platforms.
  • Engage with followers, monitor trends and maintain a positive brand image.
  • Measure and analyze the impact of social media initiatives (owned, earned and paid) on various KPIs, including channel growth, impressions, engagements, referral traffic and conversions, to refine and optimize social strategy.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and propose new initiatives to maintain competitiveness in the social media landscape.

Education, Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communication or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in social media marketing, content creation, or digital advertising, with a focus on social media and social content creation.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
  • Experience dealing with senior stakeholders and influencing and engaging effectively.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Deep knowledge of LinkedIn and other major social media platforms, specifically, key content formats, ad options and KPIs for each platform, with proven track record in developing and managing strategies and campaigns to grow social media audiences, engagement and sales.
  • Proficiency in social media management systems and analytics platforms, experience in HubSpot preferred.
  • Passionate about all aspects of social media with a desire for continuous learning and development, promoting best practices and teaching others.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong writing, editing and project management skills.
  • Excellent eye for visuals and the ability to curate social content that aligns with the brand.
  • Ability to interpret data and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools (e.g. Asana, Workfront, Monday).
