Responsibilities:

 

The Senior Marketing Specialist leads and manages a team that creates and develops proposals, responses to RFPs, and client presentations that tell the story of Mayo Clinic Laboratories and position us for success with current and prospective clients. Collaborate and build relationships with sales leads and a cross-functional proposal team to develop proposals and materials to support RFP responses. Work independently and effectively in an agile environment that promotes teamwork and frequent collaboration with cross-functional proposal team members. Attention to detail is critical, as are time management and the ability to manage competing priorities. Produce high-quality work by deadline and adhere to established content standards, policies, processes, and workflows. Perform other duties as needed.

  • Managing client proposal and RFP responses.
  • Writing and proofreading.
  • Content development.
  • Storytelling.
  • Brand stewardship.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus 5 years professional experience in marketing, or a related field. Or a master’s degree in a related field (MBA preferred), with 3 years professional experience in marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong academic performance required.
  • Business acumen, including proven expertise in creating marketing strategies based on business objectives.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, critical thinking, active listening, quantitative skills, persuasive oral and written communication, project management, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven execution ability, including digital marketing experience.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, changing environment, and experience in effectively meeting deadlines on-time with a quality product.
  • Must possess high personal motivation supporting a strong work ethic, flexibility, and creativity.
  • Ability to inspire trust and confidence and maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively to prioritize and drive forward multiple projects.
  • Experience working with target audiences, market research, and competitive landscape evaluation.
  • May require experience with marketing automation.
  • Experience with understanding data, surfacing trends, and working with digital and advertising channels.
  • Positive influence on others.
  • Position requires occasional travel and the flexibility to work weekends and evenings as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Leadership/management experience.

Compensation Detail:

$93,204.80 – $130,499.20/year; Education, experience, and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
