We are seeking an experienced and driven Marketing Manager to develop and execute marketing campaigns that establish advanced membrane solutions as inevitable technology for carbon capture and position Ardent as the clear leader delivering on the promise of this technology.

 

This role will initially be the most senior full-time member of the marketing team. For a creative, ambitious builder and doer this is an opportunity to do great marketing work and create the marketing system for the organization as it grows.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Campaign development
  • Develop and manage integrated demand generation campaigns across multiple channels (email, social media, webinars, events etc.)
  • Plan and execute compelling content assets (whitepapers, guides, videos etc.) by effectively coordinating subject matter experts and contractors
  • Functional design and leadership
  • Design key marketing processes and stand up “the Ardent way of marketing”: covering both campaign development as well as processes
  • Build organizational approach to creation through execution that is tuned to the demands and constraints of a start-up (eg. fast, nimble, efficient, small team)
  • Collaborate with business development to ensure alignment on targeting, messaging and lead qualification
  • Coordinate with the business development team to plan, execute, and measure Ardent’s effective presence at key industry conferences
  • Define and report on key metrics and analyze data to derive insights for improving effectiveness
  • Execution and continuous improvement
  • Manage website updates and optimize SEO performance
  • Utilize marketing automation, CRM, analytics and other software tools to improve contact management, lead nurturing, and to optimize campaign performance
  • Manage paid media spend and measure ROI across campaigns
  • Continuously test, measure and iterate on campaign strategies to maximize results

Requirements:

  • Marketing functional experience/expertise
  • 3-5 years experience in marketing that includes experience with both content marketing and demand generation.
  • Experience with marketing automation (e.g. HubSpot, Marketo) and CRM tools
  • Strong understanding of lead generation and nurturing strategies
  • Demonstrated excellence in a variety of written formats (internal docs, campaigns, press releases, etc)
  • Experience supporting sales teams with long deal cycles in traditional industries a plus
  • Proficiency in design tools a plus (e.g., Figma, InDesign, Canva)
  • Systems and design thinking
  • Experience in building, implementing and refining effective AND efficient new functions and/or processes within an organization (start-up preferred)
  • Data-driven mindset with ability to analyze and optimize based on metrics
  • Ability to synthesize large amounts in info, draw conclusions, generate recommendations, and communicate them compellingly (verbal and written)
  • Project management and organizational skills
  • Experience flawlessly planning, executing, and measuring the impact of complex projects such as conferences
  • Ability to create and effectively communicate project plans from scratch and execute cross functionally and with senior leaders
  • Degree or coursework in chemistry or engineering a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree
