Rogerson is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing affordable housing and related services to low-income individuals and families in the Boston area. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for our residents by offering stable, affordable housing and fostering vibrant communities. Rogerson enhances the well-being of older adults by elevating housing, community and care to an art.

Rogerson is embarking on a strategic plan which will mean that our mission will reach another 1000 older adults—with housing and services- within the next 5 years. Along the way, we are revitalizing the communications and marketing team which will be at the forefront of this growth and mission expansion.

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Digital Marketing & Communications Specialist -with an entrepreneurial spirit and an interest in helping us build a new communications program from the bottom up. This position will play a pivotal role in advancing Rogerson’s mission by collaborating on and implementing effective communication strategies. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker with a strong commitment to social justice and community development.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in the non-profit sector. Affordable housing is a plus.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in social media management, tools and platforms including content development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in digital marketing or related field preferred. Education can be substituted for experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Proficiency with marketing automation tools and CRM software.
    • Proficiency with Adobe Creative suite (Photoshop, inDesign, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) or other relevant graphic design software.
    • Passion for community development, social justice, affordable housing.
    • Ability to travel to throughout the Rogerson network in Eastern Massachusetts

Specific Responsibilities

  • Maintain content & communications calendar across multiple platforms.
  • Collaborate on the creation and management of compelling content for various channels including but not limited to social media, Rogerson websites, newsletters, blogs and donor communication. Ensure all content is consistent with Rogerson’s brand voice and messaging guidelines.
  • Monitor, manage and engage with Social media followers, respond to inquiries, and foster online community growth.
  • Schedule and manage weekend posts to enhance social media engagement.
  • Manage updates to Rogerson.org & affiliated websites (WordPress)
  • Analyze and report on digital campaign performance, providing insight and recommendations for improvement.
  • Coordinate management of CRM (Enquire/Aline), including troubleshooting, training coordination, basic reports creation
  • Design and produce graphics for social media, website, marketing materials, and other digital and print media. Ensure all designs align with brand identity and guidelines
  • Assist in planning and promoting fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Collaborate with external partners and agencies to amplify the organization’s message and to implement strategies and campaigns for Rogerson’s mull
  • Provide input on strategic marketing plans and initiatives
  • Participate in regular team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
