Overview

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for spearheading TRC’s event marketing strategy, including but not limited to planning TRC’s participation in tradeshows, industry events and technology partner events; attending events to represent TRC and promote the company’s services; coordinating and running TRC hosted events including in-person events like roundtables and outings and remote events like webinars; and securing speaking opportunities. Requires a demonstrated successful track record of organizing attendance at trade shows and proving ROI through event marketing strategies and tactics.

Responsibilities

Major Responsibilities:

  • Spearhead TRC’s event and tradeshow strategy for all TRC sectors, including but not limited to identifying key events, coordinating internal cross functional team, as-needed training for attendees (elevator pitches, etc.), handling pre- and post-show communications and event attendance
  • Collaborate with marketing, sales, and operations teams to properly staff events
  • Work with Director, Marketing – Events to develop event strategy and objectives; drive initiatives to meet objectives based on lead generation, customer advocacy, and more.
  • Negotiate and execute contracts with vendors for large- and small-scale events
  • Drive marketing influenced pipeline and generate MQLs (Marketing Qualified Leads) through onsite activations and support of the sales team
  • Analyze, track, and report on event ROI based on predetermined pipeline, revenue, and MQL metrics using Marketing Automation – CRM
  • Build relationships with clients and prospects on a one-to-one basis as needed/appropriate
  • Interact with key decision makers and account holders
  • Work with in-house designer to ensure event displays and materials accurately represent the TRC brand
  • Process event invoices; sponsorships; marketing vendor invoices
  • Order and track event inventory include collateral, giveaways, etc.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business management or equivalent experience

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of related marketing experience, ideally in event marketing, tradeshow setup/dismantle, demand generation, or sales enablement in a corporate or engineering industry environment.
  • Experience managing vendors to ensure services are delivered as contracted.
  • Manage effective tracking systems for events management.
  • Experience partnering with sales teams.
  • Demonstrated record of success in carrying out event marketing efforts, including trade show planning, attendance and reporting
  • Proven experience managing multiple competing priorities

Software/Technical Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products, specifically, Word, Excel, SharePoint. PowerBI, a plus
  • CRM systems/tools experience preferred.

  • Highly professional personal presentation with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally to C Suite level customers.
  • Self-confident with a dynamic personality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working for a consulting services firm in Environmental, Infrastructure, or Power sectors

Other (Including Certifications Needed)

  • Requires well developed Project management skills – certification a plus
  • Certified Marketing Professional (CMP), preferred
  • Maintains professional attire and demeanor while working with clients, staff and during travel

Travel Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 30% to locations in the US to prepare for and attend events.
