The Marketing Specialist will support the Marketing and Communications Department at Baylor University by writing, editing across media, producing high-quality print, digital, promotional and advertising materials, and contributing to marketing and communication strategies that enhance and define the University’s brand, advance University priorities and extend key messages to various constituencies.

A Bachelor’s Degree, and two years of relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, English, Communications, Marketing, or related field is preferred.

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

What You Will Do

• Write short- and long-form content for the MarCom content management channels, Baylor Magazine, BaylorNews Digest, web and other Division-led communication tools that advance University priorities.
• Generate strategic communications content that supports University and division priorities and reflects the high-level priorities of school/college/administrative partners for use across a wide range of communications media; implement communication strategies and develop tools, messages, materials and creative solutions that integrate University priorities and advance partner goals.
• Provide project management for assigned projects and partners to support the work of the Division and key partners within the University.
• Assist communication/marketing colleagues and contribute to the overall quality of work of the Division and perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Ability to comply with University policies
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
