The Senior Marketing Specialist is responsible for creating and managing multifaceted campaigns to meet business goals, generate leads, and increase brand recognition for Tyler’s Payments platform. This includes determining campaign needs and selecting appropriate communication vehicles, writing well-researched content, providing creative direction to internal teams, and managing the development of initiatives to completion.
The Senior Marketing Specialist will have a positive impact by assisting in the management of marketing programs, and by creating and delivering campaigns that raise awareness, generate leads, and create loyalty among clients and prospects. The work of the Senior Marketing Specialist will enhance the brand, position Tyler for buying consideration, and help close new business.
Responsibilities
- Drive business success by developing innovative ways to communicate marketing messages through integrated marketing programs that include email, direct mail web, video, and collateral, and that support trade shows and events
- Ensure marketing messaging is consistent and drives key messages in an impactful way
- Write copy for marketing materials in a manner that is audience-appropriate, impactful, and follows writing best practices
- Effectively interact with sales or other internal clients, as appropriate, to understand business needs and develop marketing approaches that meet those needs
- Utilize a metric-driven approach to determine which campaigns/programs are most effective and leverage these learnings to adjust future marketing activity
- Manage and execute campaigns to ensure they are delivered in a timely manner
- Maintain and manage project schedules, approvals, and other project-related needs utilizing the department’s project management software
- Obtain product or service information by interviewing or requesting such information from necessary parties, including internal division subject matter experts or clients
- Write product sheets, brochures, case studies, newsletter articles, advertising, social media, and other material as requested by marketing leadership
- Provide leadership or mentorship to junior members of the team
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- At least 6 years of marketing experience
- An understanding of marketing communications vehicles, including email, direct mail, collateral, video, web, and trade shows
- Experience effectively managing a variety of marketing projects and timelines
- Strong writing skills and experience
- Knowledge of AP style
- Solid skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- An understanding of graphic applications, image/media files, web media/interactive marketing, etc.
- A positive attitude with a desire to go above and beyond expectations
- Technology/software industry and public sector experience preferred

- Evaluate the marketing needs of key stakeholders, and develop and execute awareness and lead generation campaigns that meet those needs
- Understand and convey key messages and objectives in all sales and marketing collateral
- Understand customer needs and be able to incorporate a client perspective into communications
- Effectively work with subject matter experts across various departments to understand the product offerings and effectively market them to targeted audiences
- Establish priorities and meet deadlines, in conjunction with those set forth by marketing leadership
- Handle multiple tasks with appropriate levels of supervision while paying close attention to details
