The person in the Manager, Digital Marketing (Remote) role will be a key contributor on cross-functional working teams managing site marketing for mattressfirm.com and sleep.com. The Marketing Manager is tasked with translating the overarching marketing strategy into actionable plans to develop site content that drives store intent, engagement, and conversion. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams and initiatives, providing marketing recommendations and content roadmaps to ensure the sites have a consistent and exceptional brand and customer experience.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Manage a unified brand vision for mattressfirm.com, sleep.com along with proprietary digital tools
  • Implement strategies that increase traffic and engagement, enhance brand visibility, and drive online sales.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to proactively identify omnichannel opportunities to drive content and experiences that prioritize key audience segments, brand differentiators, and RTBs to drive deeper engagement
  • Work closely with digital merchandising teams to enhance product marketing with multimedia content, improving product visibility and customer interaction
  • Develop roadmaps for evergreen content that drive long-term organic traffic
  • Participate in creative development and content production, including video
  • Manage brand creative on the websites and digital products, ensuring that the brand image is consistently represented across digital retail touchpoints.
  • Identify opportunities for evaluating content and messaging effectiveness with Consumer Insights and/or Data & Analytics teams
  • Quarterly and annual planning for site marketing initiatives and forward plans, ensuring alignment with overall business goals
  • Work with internal core service leaders and project managers to ensure that our marketing strategy is executed (on time, within budget) and is successfully driving business goals.
  • Complete all required training modules and certifications prior to the due date.
  • Ensure all safety policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe work environment for all.
  • Communicate professionally with all internal and external contacts
  • Follow all Company policies and execute Company standards on appearance and functionality as well as appropriate brand representation
  • Communicate any concerns or issues to leadership to ensure proper efficiency of department and company operations
  • Execute team member performance improvement plans, progressive discipline and terminations when appropriate per Company policy

Non-Essential Responsibilities

  • Develop and leverage connections in the digital commerce vendor community to stay current with leading developments in industry
  • Stay current with the latest digital commerce marketing trends and technologies to drive innovation and stay ahead of competitors
  • Execute company initiatives and other activities requested by supervisor
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities
  • Contribute ideas on ways to optimize or improve the team, the department, and the Company
  • Enhance department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; explore opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree Marketing, Digital, Communications or related field or equivalent experience. preferred

Professional Experience

  • 4+ Years professional experience, preferably in the retail sector
  • Experience should encompass digital brand management, digital marketing and content strategy

Knowledge

  • Knowledge of marketing principles, strategic planning, and digital marketing for websites
  • Understanding of content strategy, product marketing, and content creation
  • Experience using consumer research, audience segmentation and insights to inform customer-centric marketing strategies.
  • Familiarity with website operations and product management
  • A working knowledge of data analytics, as applied to marketing, to inform data-driven decisions and evaluation
  • Understanding of ecommerce best practices, user experience principles, and project management and, though not a core aspect of the role, would facilitate coordination of cross-functional initiatives.

Pay Range : 100,000-104,000
