VINTUS is one of the most dynamic fine wine companies in the country. This opportunity is to step in and oversee the trade sales and marketing efforts for an extraordinary portfolio of U.S. estates.

 

The portfolio consists of established and innovative California benchmarks as well as new and developing estates. The American estates include Chateau Montelena (Napa Valley), Gary Farrell Winery (Russian River Valley), Iron Horse Vineyards (Green Valley of Russian River Valley), Marietta Cellars (Sonoma and Mendocino), and Far Mountain (Moon Mountain); other New World wineries include Dog Point Vineyard (New Zealand) and Finca Decero (Argentina).

 

This position will report directly to the Vice President, Brand Management.

 

Your priority activities are as follows:

  • Lead your portfolio as brand champion
  • Oversee the brand strategies for the estates under your leadership
  • Develop and own the sales and marketing budgets for these estates
  • Drive Sales Management of these brands through action across the company
  • Develop and manage strategies and tactics to drive market share, distribution, volume and profitability
  • Focus on appropriate accounts, geographies, channels and consumer targets in order to achieve short and long term objectives
  • Create launch plans for new brands and brand extensions, working across the company
  • Analyze market data and brand performance to determine opportunities
  • Manage PR and event activities for assigned brands.
  • Travel to events, meetings and wineries as required for work assignments and brand education
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for these estates
  • Collaborate continuously with our Sales, Consumer Marketing, and Logistics teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience and success in the fine wine industry at the importer, wholesaler, producer or marketer level
  • Ability to develop and maximize the impact of brand budgets
  • Proven creative abilities
  • A self-motivated, positive, energetic attitude and ability to work closely with VINTUS, distributors, wineries, and accounts
  • Ability to work independently as well as proven ability to excel in a team environment
  • Exceptional organizational, speaking and analysis skills
  • Ability to work with speed and efficiency, without sacrificing quality
  • Computer literacy that allows you to effectively use standard business programs and sales reporting systems
  • Knowledge of both domestic and international fine wines

This position is identified as being performed in/or reporting to company operations in the United States. Salary commensurate with experience in the range of $130,000- 145,000/ year.
