Founded in 2021 by a group of early employees at Morning Brew, beehiiv was built on the lessons learned from growing a large and engaged audience. The journey wasn’t easy—it required years of experimentation, custom-built tools, and relentless effort.

Beehiiv exists to make sharing ideas accessible to everyone. In a world where gatekeepers and algorithms favor the few, beehiiv seeks to shift the power back to the creators. Their mission? To pave the way for the next million creators, publishers, and businesses to thrive without barriers.

We started super simple. A shitty google doc that we sent via email to friends to get feedback. eventually we got smart and switched to @beehiiv (lesson: if you’re not embarrassed by v1 of your product, you’ve waited too long to launch)
