Excellence in organic search is a fundamental aspect of our overall Digital Marketing strategy at adidas. The Assistant Manager, On-Site & Technical Search Engine Optimization plays a pivotal role within the eCommerce One Media performance marketing team. This position is responsible for driving and optimizing organic search and traffic initiatives, contributing significantly to the adidas NAM (U.S./Canada) SEO strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal partners to develop and execute scalable on-page and technical SEO strategies, driving organic traffic growth.
- Represent the voice of On-Site & Technical SEO for adidas NAM, advancing SEO knowledge and considerations.
- Prioritize SEO tickets with product development teams, providing data-driven insights and advising on SEO impacts of product releases.
- Conduct keyword research, content audits, competitor monitoring, internal linking architecture, and SEO split tests.
- Perform Google Search Console (GSC) audits, content monitoring, and address crawling or indexation issues.
- Conduct technical audits to improve page performance, Core Web Vitals, and site stability.
- Measure and report on results of SEO activities, communicating impact to wider partners.
- Initiate SEO projects related to tech optimizations, content, consumer experience, and promotions to grow revenue.
- Explain the impact of SEO on larger business objectives.
- Utilize data to prioritize and resource SEO initiatives.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with global and market teams to create synergies and drive revenue.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills, both in-person and remotely.
- Ability to work efficiently in a cross-functional organization and develop collaborative relationships.
- Passion for SEO with creative and energetic team player mentality.
- Experience with SEO tools such as GSC, Keyword Planner, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs, ContentKing, and Botify.
- Proficiency in reporting tools like Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.
- Understanding of front-end web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, schema markup).
- Analytical, data-driven, and independent thinker.
- Understanding of SEO split testing; experience with SEO testing platforms is a plus.
- Technical skill set including bot behavior monitoring, server log analysis, modifying robots.txt, XML sitemaps, canonical, noindexing and cannibalization strategies, server- vs. client-side rendering, and a mobile-first mindset.
- Fluent in English.
Requisite Education And Experience / Minimum Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in technical SEO, in-house and/or at a leading digital agency.
- University degree in Business, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
- Basic experience with digital marketing in a brand environment.
- Basic experience working with Agile development teams.
- Experience in an eCommerce environment is a plus.
- Advanced computer skills with proficiency in Excel.
