Role: Senior Copywriter/ACD, Copy

Rate: $40-60/hr DOE (w2)

Clutch is looking for an ACD, Copy with advertising or marketing agency experience for a client of ours. Energy/utility client experience is strongly preferred!
Responsibilities
- Serve as the conceptual lead for energy/utility brand, overseeing the development of pitch content.
- Lead the creation of breakthrough creative concepts that translate complex mechanisms of action and sophisticated data into compelling, high-impact brand stories.
- Oversee the evolution of brand messaging through various lifecycle stages, ensuring all copy remains clinically accurate, strategically sound, and competitively positioned.
- Partner closely with the ACD, Art to lead a cross-functional creative team, fostering a collaborative environment that produces award-winning, strategically driven work.
- Contribute to client presentations at a senior level, defending conceptual directions and articulating how the creative work solves specific business challenges.
Requirements
- 6+ years of copywriting experience within a marketing or advertising agency setting.
- A strong portfolio showcasing conceptual “big idea” thinking and successful execution across energy and/or utility industry clients.
- Strong experience with concepting for pitches and proposals.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field.
- Exceptional presentation skills.
