Reporting to the Senior Director of GaaS Marketing, the Associate Marketing Manager will support marketing efforts and projects for SEGA Japan Studios’ GaaS titles. This role emphasizes collaboration with SEGA of America’s marketing, community, and creative services teams, as well as cross-functional partners across the organization. Additionally, the Associate Marketing Manager will work closely with Japan Studios to align marketing activations with live operations events. Leveraging player insights and emerging industry trends, this position will contribute to strategic planning and take a key role in both leading and supporting the execution of marketing strategies and GTM initiatives.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Drive brand and marketing campaigns focused on increasing game installs / revenue, including developing key marketing strategies and messaging
  • Kick-offand assist in the creation of GTM plans with support from the manager.
  • Support the execution of marketing tactics throughout the product lifecycle stages (pre-launch, pre-registration, launch, post-launch, and ongoing maintenance).
  • Align individual marketing goals and initiatives with broader franchise and SEGA of Japan objectives.
  • Facilitate marketing asset creation, project management, and campaign execution, including managing review processes with internal teams and external licensors.
  • Assist with campaign execution and research to help achieve the title’s revenue and profit targets.
  • Compile and maintain KPI data to identify business concerns and recommend actionable solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (PMM, Brand, Community, Creative Services, Project Management), production teams, external partners, developers, and agencies to ensure effective campaign execution.
  • Ensure business plan goals are met, monitor budget, and maximize the effectiveness of global marketing campaigns.
  • Work closely with cross-functional and international teams to ensure development, marketing initiatives, and executions align with the project’s strategic and financial goals.
  • Oversee and maintain the development of creative campaigns, including creative strategy, asset production, digital content, promotional activities, and channel strategies.
  • Analyze and report campaign performance using internal dashboards and marketing tools.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Working in-office is an essential function of this position. This requirement of face-to-face interaction is in place to ensure effective supervision, collaboration, and teamwork. In-office attendance is required for the following reasons:

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of experience in product and/or brand marketing.
  • Experience in live-operated games and/or mobile industry is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business Marketing, Product Marketing, Business Economics, or Marketing Insights preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of current JRPG mobile franchises and mobile games.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing circumstances, and consistently meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking in fast-paced environments with robust quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Collaborative team player with exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in leveraging quantitative analytics, building business cases to support initiatives, and focusing on KPI-driven and ROI metrics.
  • Experience with CRM, engagement/lifecycle marketing, and project management tools such as Jira.
  • Familiarity with social media, influencer partnerships, and user acquisition channels, including handling creative assets, approval processes, and adhering to best practices.
