The Brand Manager is a visible position that is charged with leading consumer-focused activation to drive brand awareness, guest acquisition and frequency. This role ensures all marketing initiatives align with Papa Murphy’s brand positioning and overall objectives and is responsible for managing and executing cohesive brand activation efforts. The Brand Manager is responsible for implementing annual plan strategies and tactics and will contribute to plan development. The Brand Manager is a creative, detail-oriented and energetic professional who can multi-task effectively, balance multiple and changing priorities, provide clear, strategic direction to agencies and creative partners, and lead cross-functional initiatives.

 

In this engaging and visible role, the Brand Manager champions the Papa Murphy’s brand by:

  • Ensuring all marketing initiatives align with Papa Murphy’s brand positioning, strategy, and overall objectives.
  • Managing and executing cohesive brand activation efforts, ensuring that all campaigns and programs are executed with excellence.
  • Managing the strategy and development of the annual Papa Murphy’s Activation Calendar
  • Managing brand content/look/feel of digital assets and platforms. Creating strategy and objectives for content creation. Day-to-day point of contact for agency and ensures alignment, approvals & timing are on track. Briefing agencies, reviewing social content and securing internal approvals.
  • Contributing to the development of television, radio, digital advertising campaign plus in-store and CRM in conjunction with agency to increase brand awareness. Briefing agencies, coordinating details of production shoots, gaining internal alignment on creative direction, and managing assets and budgets.
  • Partnering with internal design studio to ensure brand guardrails are being followed across channels.
  • Managing and executing activation plans for systemwide LTO, permanent product launches and value-oriented promotions. Partnering with the Analytics team to track and report product performance.
  • Assisting in the development of Papa Murphy’s brand plans to deliver topline and margin growth – includes volume estimates, brand activation campaigns and presentation development.
  • Leading the development and execution of POP Kits for franchise owners.
  • Managing and developing Social Media Marketing manager.
  • Managing and reconciling budgets.

What we bring to the table:

  • Salary range: $90,000-$95,000. Actual offer may vary from posted hiring range based on location, work experience, and/or education.

  • Must be able to travel, by air and car, for business purposes including meetings and production shoots, as business needs require (estimated 15% travel.)

Foundations of your career:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA Preferred
  • 5 years of consumer goods (food & beverage) or multi-unit restaurant (QSR).
  • Franchised retail or restaurant experience and experience.
  • Marketing experience at Marketing Manager or agency Account Executive level.
  • 3-5 years’ experience managing cross-functional teams in a consumer goods or QSR restaurant or foodservice organization.
  • Social/digital media and direct people-management experience preferred.
