The Brand Marketing Manager plays a crucial role in developing and executing marketing objectives to support the overall brand strategy. This position leads national promotions, media channels, data analysis, in-store activations, and the execution of the overall marketing calendar.

 

Essential Functions

 

Leading the Development and Execution of National Promotions:

  • Coordinate all marketing elements throughout the campaign period, finding synergies between consumer touchpoints to amplify one strategic marketing message. This includes:

    • Creative development

    • PR programs

    • Digital activations

    • Loyalty programming

    • LTO integration

    • In-store print production

    • Digital menu vendors

    • Catering

  • Take full ownership of Retail IT, digital menu vendors, omni-channel, and social marketing channels to enhance owned channel awareness and drive customer loyalty.

  • Manage projects and programs, ensuring timelines are met, engine partner accountability is maintained, performance is tracked, and projects remain within budget while meeting quality standards and aligning with key objectives and brand standards.

  • Lead marketing communication and program implementation, including developing ad hoc weekly communications and creating implementation guides for all promotions.

  • Conduct thorough analysis and create debrief documents to collect learnings and provide future recommendations on all marketing program elements.

Brand Activation:

  • Collaborate with external partners and the creative team to develop promotional materials and marketing elements that align with the overall brand voice, platform, and strategy to increase sales.

  • Partner with local marketing, culinary, training, and operations teams to develop marketing capabilities (e.g., training guides, local marketing toolkits) and ensure the successful local implementation of national programs.

  • Work with the Culinary & Menu Innovation Manager to successfully launch in-store testing, ensuring all marketing materials and digital elements are delivered timely and reflect the appropriate brand tone of voice.

Relationship Management:

  • Build effective working relationships with franchisees and vendors to translate franchisees’ needs into action.

  • Establish and maintain trust and credibility with franchisees, vendors, and marketing associates.

  • Collaborate and brief the creative team to develop best-in-class execution for promotions.

  • Maintain vendor relationships to manage expectations (e.g., high level of service, accountability), provide timely feedback, and maximize cost efficiency, quality, timeliness, and responsiveness to best support the organization’s initiatives.

Research/Consumer Insight:

  • Gather and analyze customer experience data, market research, sales data, and marketing program results to provide recommendations on adjusting market strategy/tactics, increase sales/transactions, achieve marketing goals, and maintain awareness of changing market and competitive conditions.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business, Advertising, or other related fields preferred.

Work Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, business administration, sales, or related field.

  • Experience leveraging primary research, data, and consumer insights into actionable business initiatives.

  • 4+ years of experience in developing and executing marketing plans and programs.

  • Experience in franchisee, restaurant, hospitality, food, or beverage industries preferred.

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient in developing and executing marketing plans and programs across multiple platforms.

  • Ability to analytically/statistically evaluate traditional and interactive media, marketing effectiveness, overall sales, and competitive trends.

  • Ability to create program goals, messaging, communication, and overall event plans.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to maintain strict timelines.

  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective relationships.

  • Ability to work around obstacles while maintaining a positive attitude.

  • Creative problem-solving skills and willingness to try new approaches.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary range: $59,500 – $95,000 USD per year, based on geography, skills, education, experience, and unique qualifications.
