The annual base salary for this position ranges from $62,200.00 in our lowest geographic market to $139,200.00 in our highest geographic market. Actual salary will vary based on a candidate’s location, qualifications, skills and experience.

Who we are looking for
We’re looking for a North America Running Brand Specialist to join our team in New York City under our Women’s Marketing offense.
This role will office out of our Nike New York Headquarters, supporting the Running Team’s local marketing concepts and executions. The candidate will have the opportunity to assist the team in both process/project management as well as experiential support (planning, concepting, and executing on the ground activations).
They should be ready to embrace an approach that will challenge the status quo and push the Brand to new places – helping translate insights into unique strategies and concepts. Someone with a deep curiosity and desire to grow and learn the ropes of Nike strategy and consumer connection in a key global city.
Additionally, they should have a results-driven approach to their work, demonstrating an ability to lead multiple tasks while building strong working relationships across a matrixed organization.
What you will work on
If this is you, you’ll be working with a network of city, geo, and global functions within Women’s Brand Management to support key product marketing priorities and help define the seasonal, annual, and long-term brand plans that will serve the needs of our running consumers.
You and your team will be responsible for driving true end to end accountability for seasonal and daily consumer brand offense alongside our various functional partners. You will lead work with an end in mind vision and direction – focused on brilliant execution.
Specifically, the NYC Running Brand Specialist will:
- Act as the “Product/Innovation Center of Excellence”:
- Serve as go-to expert for all aspects related to seasonal product, acting as resident expert on a technical level with key running performance styles
- Access and place orders via internal platforms (CIMS, CSI, Nike.net, SAP) for key contractual and NYC partners; keeping accurate records and documentation for loss prevention
- Manage, sort, distribute all product orders, including maintenance of product storage areas
- Work closely with inventory management and promo planning team to place seasonal product buys and ensure timely product program execution
- Monitor and identify consumer and marketplace trends:
- Stay alert and active in both the physical and digital local running communities
- Share and digest insights + key consumer shifts with key partners
- Leverage those insights to amplify big ideas and help shape the city strategy, aligned to opportunities in the geo
- Recommend key marketing levers and provide input on opportunities for in-season adjustment
- Engage the communities and relationships that matter:
- Maintain consistent connection to our club, crew, partners, and community leaders
- Understand the landscape of our network and where and how to both support their connection to the brand and apply their expertise
- Act as the first point of connection for all ingoing or outgoing network requests
- Forge new relationships through city exploration and continued community outreach
- Project Management:
- Keep teams tracking toward internal and external timelines and goals; owning master workback schedules and run-of-shows
- Develop personal and team expertise in supporting Nike tools and project management platforms: Air Table, BOX, Slack, Keynote, Beeline, Coupa, Contracts Central, Annaqua, etc
- Work cross-functionality among the matrix to find solutions, stay integrated, and drive efficiency
- Drive initiative recap and teardown process – tracking cumulative engagement/results to deliver insights that will inform future work
- Help to manage in-year and seasonal budget allocation
- Manage the ebbs and flows of activation timelines
- Note: may be required to be in office outside of M-Th anchor days, after traditional working hours, and with potential weekend work if aligned with activations like the NYC Marathon, etc

As the New York City Running Brand Specialist, you will report directly to the New York City Senior Manager of Running, seated within Nike’s Women’s Marketing Offense.

What You Bring
- Experience and/or passion for the running and fitness world: +1-3 years of experience in Running/Fitness Retail, Marketing, and/or Event Production
- Autonomous and entrepreneurial, proactive work management style
- An understanding of media and digital platforms
- Phenomenal relationship-building + problem-solving skills
- Outstanding task management across multiple work streams with attention to details
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, flexing between senior leadership communication and more detailed functional communication
- Experience with public speaking and presenting work to larger groups of people
- Knowledge of the NYC market + consumer trends
- Ability to travel up to 15% of the time
