Your Impact.

As a Communications Specialist, you’ll be responsible for creating and managing a high volume of clear, engaging communications that keep our employees and franchise owners informed and connected. From drafting internal emails, newsletters, talking points, and announcements to writing content for franchise updates and initiatives, you’ll help ensure consistent messaging across all levels of the organization.

You’ll also lead the planning and creation of social media content, working closely with our external agency to support brand visibility and engagement. This role is hands-on and fast-pacedperfect for a strong writer who’s comfortable juggling multiple projects and channels at once. Your contributions will directly support embedding The We Way, driving transparency, and fostering a culture where everyone from agents to executives feels informed, inspired, and empowered, ultimately helping us deliver exceptional service and value to our clients.

Work Environment: This role requires 5-10% travel.

Hybrid – Based in Austin, TX (on-site 2–3 days per week)

Key Responsibilities.

  • Write, edit, and distribute internal communications including employee newsletters, leadership announcements, organizational updates, and franchise-related messaging.
  • Develop and maintain a content calendar to support internal communication goals and key company initiatives.
  • Create clear, engaging, and brand-aligned content for multiple channels including email, intranet, leadership updates, and printed materials.
  • Lead the planning and execution of social media content across platforms, ensuring messaging aligns with brand voice and strategic objectives.
  • Partner with departments such as Franchise Operations, Sales and Leadership to translate complex updates into easy-to-understand communications.
  • Ensure communication consistency and clarity across the organization by supporting message development for key initiatives, leadership speeches, video scripts and employee events.
  • Track engagement and feedback from communications and social media efforts to continuously improve content and delivery.
  • Support crisis and change communications with timely, thoughtful messaging.
  • Maintain internal communication tools and platforms, ensuring content is current, accurate, and accessible.

Your Experience.

  • 2+ years in communications (internal, corporate, or employee communications experience highly preferred)
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly across distributed, multi-function teams ideally in a growth-stage or franchise-driven business
  • Strong writing/editing/storytelling skills; able to tailor voice and message for a range of audiences
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
  • Strong project management skills; ability to juggle multiple initiatives and meet deadlines
  • A passion for building authentic culture and connecting people to purpose
