The Content Marketing Manager oversees the strategy and execution of 15Five’s content, social media and SEO programs, managing the HR Superstars content sub-brand, and contributes to 15Five’s brand and experiential marketing programs. This includes the creation of relevant, valuable content for strategic HR leaders, attracting engaged audiences that can be converted and nurtured into revenue, and shaping events and experiences that attract, delight and convert our ideal customer profile while creating lasting brand memories.

SCHEDULE / WORK LOCATION

Anywhere in the U.S.

This is a full-time, salaried exempt position. The typical work week will be Monday through Friday, between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm (flexible), working an expected 40+ hours/week. Ability to accommodate early-morning or after-hours meetings at least 4 days a week is a must due to collaboration across various time zones.

OUTCOMES

  • Act as editor-in-chief of 15Five’s content marketing program creating resonant content and experiences
  • Oversee an editorial calendar and philosophy that delivers on the editorial mission of 15Five’s content marketing program: to elevate HR leaders to become more strategic
  • Use qualitative and quantitative data to inform our investment in content creation spanning the HR Superstars blog, podcast, branded, social media channels as well as long-form resources
  • Oversee external agencies and freelancers
  • Develop and nurture audiences into revenue
  • Oversee content distribution across all owned channels, including email newsletters, social media and community, and employee advocacy
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at 15Five to make content available to prospects and customers
  • Oversee our SEO program to boost organic traffic, develop audiences we can nurture into revenue, and manage our agency relationship
  • Measure and optimize content marketing’s impact on key marketing and business goals, maintaining a dashboard of key KPIs and demonstrating positive growth
  • Shape events and brand experiences
  • Lead content development and brand experiences for key events such as HR Superstars LIVE, Thrive, and other experiential marketing programs
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Marketing team to conceive and execute brand marketing campaigns and inform brand strategy

Desired Experience

  • 5+ years in a content marketing leadership role, with experience collaborating across creative, events, social media, brand and demand roles
  • A vast body of work and compelling portfolio spanning long-form written content, short form content, physical and virtual event concepts and social media
  • Familiarity with overseeing creative talent including freelance writers, photographers, event planners, creative agencies, etc.
  • Deep experience with SEO best practices, website analytics, and social media platforms

SAMPLE WEEK IN THE LIFE

  • Monday: Participate in the Company Boost and Marketing Team Meeting, ensuring strategy and key goals are in alignment with company and team goals. Review this week’s social media calendar.
  • Tuesday: Meet with SEO agency to review progress and determine the next round of creative briefs. Assign to freelancers. Recommend a creative concept for an upcoming event.
  • Wednesday: Meet with the Corporate Marketing team to review team OKRs for the upcoming quarter, and share a point of view on the strengths and weaknesses of the current program. Dive deep into monthly analytics and recommend tactical adjustments.
  • Thursday: Host 1:1s with two key freelancers. Align with the Demand Generation team on their planned campaigns for the quarter and content needs. Deep work time to end the day.
  • Friday: Host a book club for the team focused on a relevant topic. Review, edit and ship next week’s blog posts for publication. Meet with podcast production agency.
