The Team & Role

The ideal candidate is a great communicator and inspiring storyteller who can captivate an audience across multiple formats. You are a versatile content marketer who does more than just write blogs—you think holistically about content strategy and create a range of content types that delight our audience.

If you’re excited about experimenting with new content types while producing high-quality pieces, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do Day-to-day

  • Develop and own Gem’s content strategy, creating a variety of formats, including blogs, ebooks, reports, videos, social posts, infographics, and audio clips.
  • Produce high-quality, well-researched content that drives organic traffic, engages site visitors, generates leads, and supports broader marketing goals.
  • Treat each content release like a product launch, ensuring it reaches the right audience at the right time to maximize impact and brand awareness.
  • Experiment with innovative content types and formats that go beyond traditional blogs and ebooks, capturing audience attention in new ways — think engaging social posts, video clips, and audio snippets
  • Repurpose existing content from webinars, ebooks, and events into digestible formats for social campaigns, digital ads, and more.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling promotional assets across social media, digital ads, and email to attract and engage more visitors.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance metrics like downloads, subscriptions, and SEO to continuously optimize content performance.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and challenges to conceive fresh content ideas that inspire talent acquisition professionals and position Gem as a thought leader.

About You

  • You’re able to ramp up on the talent acquisition industry, understand key trends, and tap into our buyers’ key pain points so what you produce is relevant to them
  • You’re a creative thinker who knows how to capture attention in a crowded digital space. You excel at the basics but love experimenting with new ways to engage our audience.
  • You’re data-driven, both in crafting compelling, data-centric content and using key metrics to decide what content will have the most impact.
  • You want to own Gem’s content strategy — from written pieces like blogs, ebooks, and reports to more interactive pieces like short-form videos, social posts, infographics, and audio clips.
  • You believe in quality over quantity — that means creating valuable content and finding creative ways to maximize their reach and impact rather than churning out high volumes of content.
  • You’re able to connect with industry leaders and practitioners who can share their wisdom so you can produce relevant, expertise-driven content
  • You’re willing to push the envelope with a message that emotionally resonates with our audience, even if it goes against the grain
  • You get to the point without adding unnecessary words. You’re concise and know how to engage busy leaders over their coffee break

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in content-focused roles at B2B software companies
  • Ability to produce and repurpose content in multiple formats in creative ways like blogs, e-books, reports, video, and audio
  • Ability to produce short-form content from larger content pieces for effective promotion and distribution
  • Hands-on experience with SEO and website traffic metrics, including proficiency with Google Analytics
  • Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously (we love a proactive self-starter!) and collaboratively in a cross-functional capacity
  • Intellectual curiosity that seeks to understand what a target audience will consume and how to best communicate it
  • Results-oriented, with a proven ability to prioritize, multi-task, and deliver on time
