The Content Marketing Strategist is focused on supporting the creation and execution of content marketing initiatives to drive engagement, increase website traffic, and expand our social media presence. This role generates ideas and creates content strategies, as well as promotes events, and enhances the brand’s digital and print presence under general guidance.
Responsibilities
- Actively partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to design, refine, and execute comprehensive content marketing plans that support the strategic goals of both new and existing company events, as well as core content focus areas.
- Work closely with cross-functional team members, including designers, writers, and strategists, to produce high-quality, engaging content tailored for various platforms, ensuring alignment with the company’s brand voice and objectives.
- Analyze content performance metrics and user engagement trends to identify areas for improvement, delivering actionable insights to refine strategies and maximize ROI.
- Develop innovative social media strategies by conceptualizing and implementing creative ideas aimed at increasing platform followers, driving user engagement, and enhancing brand presence across digital channels.
- Assist Senior Strategists in curating, scheduling, and publishing compelling content for multiple social media channels, ensuring a consistent and impactful brand narrative.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate social media performance data, providing detailed analysis and recommending data-driven improvements to optimize engagement and campaign success.
- Plan and execute end-to-end marketing campaigns for company events, including pre-event promotions, on-site engagement, and post-event follow-ups.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to ensure consistent messaging and seamless coordination across all marketing efforts.
- Oversee promotional schedules and campaign materials, ensuring all deliverables meet established deadlines and stakeholder expectations.
- Develop and implement content strategies aimed at fostering community engagement, leveraging SEO best practices to increase website traffic and visibility.
- Build and maintain strategic partnerships to support targeted campaigns, amplifying reach and creating mutually beneficial collaborations.
- Take on other duties as assigned, contributing to the team’s overall success through flexibility and adaptability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or Data Analytics AND 2-4 years of experience in content analysis, content strategy, or digital marketing OR 5+years of experience in content analysis, content strategy, or digital marketing. Relevant internships or project work during academic studies will also be considered.
- Demonstrable knowledge in social media and website analytics. Includes academic projects, internships, or volunteer work showing potential to engage audiences and drive traffic.
- Familiarity with basic digital marketing tools and platforms. Some understanding of analytics and SEO principles.
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create coherent and brand-aligned content. A portfolio showcasing academic, internship, or personal projects is desirable.
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to assist in managing tasks and contributing to multiple campaigns under supervision.
- Strategic and creative thinking capabilities with a desire to learn and grow.
- Ability to multitask and support multiple projects under supervision.
- Eagerness to learn system applications and enhance workflow efficiency.
- Understanding of brand alignment and editorial standards.
- Flexibility to adapt to varying work hours

The pay scale the Company reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting is $83,000 to $90,000 and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to skill set, experience, training, licenses, certifications, and other business or organizational needs. Compensation will be determined based on the above factors along with the requirements of the position. At the L.A. Times Studios, LLC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for the role.
