EWTN
As the Content Specialist, you will help drive engagement with our audiences across the globe. This person will create, structure, deliver and manage content to meet the multicultural needs of our audiences and donors.
What You Will Do
- Create and curate content for distribution across multiple channels (direct mail, TV, radio, and digital – email, web, social, paid media, eBooks, etc.).
- Partner closely with Direct Response team members to understand campaigns, programs and initiatives, strategize communication solutions and execute quickly and flawlessly.
- Develop content for fund appeals, stewardship campaigns, acquisition campaigns, digital content offers and a variety of programs.
- Work with the Direct Response Content Developer to provide strategic input on messaging and positioning, ensuring content and communications are compelling and aligned with tone and strategic intent.
- Assist with the creation and ongoing development of style and voice guides.
- Research faith-based topics and work closely with Theology Department for input and approvals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with a diverse group of partners and stakeholders.
- Interview leaders, program hosts, donors and employees at all levels to produce original, must-read stories.
- Work with the Creative Services team to source beautiful photography to support internal content.
- Explore and execute new mediums for sharing global content.
- Test content funnels and work with team to ensure a positive journey for people who engage with and respond to content across multiple channels.
- Work with translation vendors to execute multiple projects as needed.
About You
- You have at least 5 years of strong writing, editing, and proofreading experience with excellent grammar skills.
- You have experience writing for integrated multi-channel campaigns; editorial, TV/Radio, experience helpful.
- You view yourself as an excellent communicator and a highly creative writer experienced in crafting compelling messaging and narratives; can generate and execute ‘breakout’ ideas.
- You can quickly comprehend information and successfully drive projects and execute with minimal guidance.
- Some of your dominant soft skills include superior organizational and communication skills, ability to manage multiple projects, high degree of accuracy & attention to detail, proactive, results driven, team collaborator.
- You possess strong interview skills and are comfortable interacting closely with a wide-range of people and position levels.
- You are a practicing Catholic or possess a strong working knowledge of the Catholic Faith and EWTN’s Mission and programming.
- You hold an Undergraduate degree in journalism, communications, digital media or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
- Experience working for a non-profit, Catholic or Christian organization within fundraising or direct response teams.
- Experience with video, audio and or podcasts is a plus.
- Fluency reading/writing in Spanish a plus.
