The Web Content Strategist Role

At Qlik, we are looking for a talented content developer to produce high-quality copy for our website that engages prospects, existing customers, and analysts.

The Web Content Strategist is a full-time position that reports to the Director of Web Strategy and works collaboratively as part of the marketing and web teams. This position calls for a complimentary mix of creative vision and excellent communication skills. You will develop both the “big idea” and the copy for new product launches, web-based campaigns, SEO content and more. The main qualification for this job is your ability to take complex technical information and translate it into compelling and easy to digest content that can be consumed by many audiences.

As the Web Content Strategist, you will be responsible for the overall voice on the website. While you will not be responsible for creating content on your own, your success will depend on working with subject matter experts and product teams to translate messaging and content outlines into easy to consume web content. Moreover, you will be responsible for helping the marketing teams run in-market messaging tests and learn their way into the best approach for content and web copy.

What makes this role interesting?

  • Writing web page and product copy — based on briefs, as well as developing copy from scratch when necessary.
  • Architecting basic page and experience structure based on copy requirements.
  • Advising on how to structure page stories
  • Review content for SEO alignment
  • Interviewing stakeholders to improve persona and sector messaging in line with brand requirements.
  • Contributing to persona development and honing ICP language

Here’s How You’ll Be Making An Impact

  • Prepare rough drafts and present your ideas to the team
  • Amend final copy per team comments and gain full approval
  • Work collaboratively with product specialists, photographers/videographers, designers, social media managers, and artists. This also includes third party agencies.
  • Writing other short-form copy — e.g. emails, landing pages, social media posts, CTAs, ad copy, etc.

We’re Looking For a Teammate With

  • 4+ years of creative writing experience in product, marketing, brand, at an agency, or in-house team
  • A portfolio that showcases a wide range of writing skills across advertising, branding, social media and product launch campaigns
  • Possess strong attention to detail in all aspects of your work
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize workflow, and meet timesensitive deadlines
  • Possess creative style, versatility, conceptual ability, and originality
  • Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with team members, partners, and vendors though written, sketch/storyboard and verbal communication
  • Knowledge of current social media and web trends
