What You’ll Do:
BRUNT is seeking a multi-faceted, self-motivated, and highly collaborative Copywriter. This person will be responsible for managing and executing cohesive brand messaging and tone across all digital and physical customer touch points.
You will be responsible for developing communications for our website, digital and physical communications, and physical collateral both in and out-of-home. This is a hands-on role that requires both agency management as well as hands on execution.
How You’ll Do It:
Technical Execution
- Timely hands-on execution of copywriting projects, writing copy that clearly demonstrates a deep understanding of our brand’s values, goals, and target audience
- Execute copy across: Email, SMS, website, print media, content creation, social media, and wholesale
- Leverage testing and data insights to continue optimizing BRUNT’s copy to achieve maximum ROI
- Generating creative ideas for campaigns and adapt writing styles for different target audiences across communication channels
- Edit and adjust copy to ensure accuracy and adherence to brand guidelines, incorporating feedback from various stakeholders
Strategic
- Partner with Creative Director and CMO to develop and hone BRUNT’s distinct tone/voice that resonates with our target audience and reflects BRUNT’s brand personality
- Help define comprehensive brand copy guidelines across various mediums, ensuring that the BRUNT voice is consistently represented across all customer touchpoints
- Collaborate with Creative Director and Chief Marketing Officer to ideate and concept copy’s role in larger marketing campaigns, making recommendations on positioning
- Stay up to date on target audience, market trends, and competitors, bringing recommendations on future campaigns on a regular basis
- Pro-level skills in executing content strategy. You feel confident in your words to drive business objectives and compel users to action. You are a natural at using words to take a complex story and make it easy, approachable and fun.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with the Product team to ensure that we’re accurately describing and communicating technical product pieces to the customer
- Collaborate with the CEO to capture and differentiate between BRUNT’s voice and the CEO’s voice, encapsulating distinct but cohesive tones, and incorporating takeaways into copy on letters, whitelists, and other projects as needed
- Work closely with Digital Designer and creative teams in order to deliver top tier cohesive creative execution across digital and physical customer touchpoints
- Collaborate with Growth, Retention, and Community teams on various marketing pushes to engage with our customer base and share events
What You Need to Succeed:
- 2+ years of experience in an eCommerce, digital marketing, or agency/in-house environment concepting or content creation roles, preferably in the lifestyle space under a global brand.
- Prior experience understanding and developing both brand voice and copywriting guidelines for consistency across all consumer touch points
- Proven experience preferably within the outdoor apparel or lifestyle industry, writing digital advertising campaigns—website, email, organic & paid social copy—is preferred
- Experience managing time and establishing priorities while maintaining flexibility to respond to changing demands within a fast-paced and growing organization
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment and commute to the office located in North Reading, Massachusetts 3x a week.
