The Role

We are seeking a strategic and customer-obsessed Customer Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team. You will focus on deepening engagement with our customers, driving value realization of our platform, amplifying customer advocacy, and infusing the voice of our customer into broader marketing initiatives. You will play a critical role in engaging with and educating our customers, developing programs that increase customer retention, loyalty, and evangelism.

In this role, you will work closely with Product Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and other teams to ensure that our customers’ experiences and insights are central to our go-to-market strategy.

Role Specifics

  • Work Location: Remote (US)
  • Travel: 5% (The percent of travel is an estimation, and it could vary up or down based on business needs throughout the year.)
  • Reporting Structure: Reports to the Director, Product and Customer Marketing.

What You Will Own

Manage the strategy, execution, and optimization of customer events

  • Envision, plan, and execute customer-facing events, including webinars, regional meetups, and our annual user conference (Global Connect).
  • Develop and optimize event content, including speaker recruitment and customer participation to maximize engagement.
  • Work cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution and post-event follow-up to drive demand for new offerings, share educational resources, and nurture ongoing engagement.

Launch & refine a Customer Advocacy Program to encourage brand evangelism

  • In partnership with Customer Success, launch, manage, and grow our Customer Advocacy Program – identifying, converting, and activating customer champions.
  • Envision, create, and promote opportunities for customers to share their experiences through speaking engagements, social media, and marketing campaigns.
  • Partner with Content Marketing and Events Marketing to pilot user-generated content strategies that can help amplify the voice of the customer across social media and other channels.

Infuse the voice of the customer into broader marketing initiatives

  • Collaborate on the strategy and execution of customer communication initiatives, including newsletters, marketing programs, and community engagement efforts.
  • Continuously gather, analyze, and communicate customer feedback and insights to inform Product Management, Product Marketing, Sales, and Demand Generation efforts.
  • Ensure customer feedback and testimonials are incorporated into product messaging, integrated marketing campaigns, and overall brand positioning.
  • Partner with Sales and Customer Success to identify and develop high impact case studies, testimonials, and peer references to showcase customer success.
  • In partnership with Customer Success and Product Management, develop a strategy to refine and maximize the value of the StarRez Facebook User Group

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in Customer Marketing or related roles in a B2B SaaS company
  • Passion for understanding and building relationships with customers, and a deep appreciation for how their stories can drive business success
  • Strong understanding of customer engagement, community building, and advocacy strategies
  • Excellent storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling customer narratives
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and customers
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication and presentation skills
  • Proven success managing complex, cross-functional projects with multiple dependencies
