Chorus Innovations
As the Design Director of Brand at Chorus, you will play a pivotal role in defining and elevating our brand’s presence. You will be responsible for developing and leading the design strategy, creating a unique and consistent brand identity, and ensuring that our brand visuals align with our mission and resonate with our target audience. Reporting directly to the VP of Design, you will partner with cross-functional teams on strategy and approaches to ensure brand excellence across all touchpoints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a compelling and cohesive brand vision, ensuring that it aligns with our mission, values, and long-term goals.
- Create and execute a comprehensive design strategy that encompasses brand identity, visual elements, and design standards.
- As the team scales, hire, lead, mentor, and inspire a team of designers, ensuring the quality and creativity of their work and fostering a culture of design excellence.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce brand guidelines to ensure a consistent representation of the brand across all channels and materials.
- Oversee the creation of brand visuals, including logos, typography, color palettes, illustrations and other design elements, both for digital and print media.
- Collaborate with your team to create high-impact marketing collateral, such as brochures, presentations, banners, and social and other digital assets.
- Work with web development teams to create visually stunning, user-friendly digital interfaces.
- Contribute to content creation by producing infographics, illustrations, and social media graphics that engage and resonate with our target audience.
- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and other teams to align on design requirements, providing creative solutions to complex health tech concepts into visually appealing and easy-to-understand graphics and illustrations.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging design technologies to ensure that our brand design remains fresh and innovative.
- Collaborate with external agencies and freelancers as necessary to supplement the design team’s capabilities and meet project deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Preferred but not required:Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communication design, or a related field.
- Proven experience in brand design, with a strong portfolio that showcases your design skills and experience in brand development.
- Experience leading and managing a small design team.
- Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and other relevant tools.
- Deep knowledge of design principles, color theory, typography, and layout.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present and explain design concepts effectively.
- Strong creative vision and the ability to think strategically while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with startups or small teams is a plus.

Base Salary: $180,000/year – $205,000/year
