Reporting to the Vice President of Global & Strategic Accounts and Vertical Marketing, the Director Account Based Marketing (ABM) leads development and execution of our ABM strategy, building new programs that target key accounts, provide insights back to sales and account teams and push potential buyers from the ‘consider’ stage of the buyer journey to ‘evaluation’ and ‘purchase’ stage. Ensures UL Solutions ABM activity is closely aligned to revenue expansion with ULS’s top clients.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategy and execution of 1:1 campaigns, including pursuits, renewals, go lives, marketing channel management and events.
  • Recommend approach for account-based marketing programs to engage key accounts leveraging cutting-edge marketing tactics.
  • Proactively build pipeline of account-based marketing campaigns based on sector/solution strategic objectives, customer lifecycle and business priorities.
  • Introduce and educate ABM approach to broad ULS stakeholders.
  • Lead a team of ABM specialists, developing first of its kind strategies, planning and execution across key vertical segments and with top clients.
  • Lead a team of ABM leaders supporting each strategic account leaders accountable for defining strategies to market “one to one”, “one to few” and “one to category” across ULS portfolio.
  • Conduct deep customer insights to ensure hyper-personalization and effective positioning of critical product offerings within each account.
  • Closely collaborates with product marketing teams to ensure connectivity with business sales teams and product management.
  • Develops content to support account teams.
  • Manages the performance of direct reports by developing accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing career counseling, feedback, and guidance, and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.
  • Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
  • Performs other duties as directed.

Qualifications

  • University degree (equivalent to bachelor’s degree) in marketing or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years’ experience in global marketing leadership
  • Extensive vertical marketing experience
  • 4+ years of experience in automotive, retail and/or health and life science segments
  • ABM experience
  • Commercial drive and excellent business acumen and strategic thinking
  • Expert and disciplined communicator.
  • Strong collaborator, driving team engagement and team building.
  • Excellent facilitation, project planning and management.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Budget management, negotiation, and financial analysis skills.
  • Very strong capabilities and experience working with senior executive leaders, adept at critical stakeholder management.
  • Expert management abilities to guide direct reports and matrixed resources.
