We are seeking a dynamic leader who will help build the Intapp brand, delivering innovation and creativity to strengthen our story and position us as an AI leader. This role requires strategic thinking, coupled with a vision to develop and execute brand programs and communications that inspire and engage our audience. The ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas to life and drive our brand forward with passion and enthusiasm.
The Director, Brand Strategy and Communications will be responsible for leading and managing the brand strategy and communications team, driving the development and execution of communication and activation strategies that enhance the company’s brand and reputation. This role will oversee internal and external communications functions (including media relations, social media, investor relations communications, and executive communications), and play a pivotal role in brand strategy, management and activation. A strong background and demonstrated expertise in corporate or marketing communications, brand strategy, brand storytelling, brand campaigns, and team leadership will set this individual up for the best success.
This role will work closely with Marketing stakeholders, as well as cross-functional teams within Intapp (including executive leadership, IT, IR, People & Places, among others), to ensure alignment and support for brand and communication initiatives.
What you will do:
- Team leadership: Manage a team dedicated to activating our brand and elevating our expertise through four distinct functional areas: PR, social media, internal comms, and brand strategy.
- Strategic Communication Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive communication strategies that align with the company’s goals and objectives. Ensure consistent messaging across all channels and touchpoints, including investor relations.
- Brand Strategy and Management: Alongside the Brand Strategy and Implementation Manager, oversee the development and stewardship of the Intapp brand identity, ensuring it is applied consistently and effectively. Conduct high-level brand research to identify messaging that works across industries. Use insights to refine brand messaging, strategies, and activations.
- Brand Activation: Design and execute brand campaigns and initiatives to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
- Media Relations: Alongside the Director of PR, build and maintain relationships with key media outlets. Oversee the creation and distribution of press releases, media kits, and other communication materials.
- Executive Communications: Support executive leadership with communication strategies, including speechwriting, presentations, and internal/external messaging.
- Investor Relations Communications: Partner with Investor Relations to develop the narrative and communications around earnings, investor days, analyst conferences and other financial events.
- Internal Communications: Alongside the Internal Communications manager, enhance internal communication efforts to ensure employees are informed and engaged. Evolve and implement communication plans for company-wide initiatives and events.
- Crisis Communication: Evolve and implement crisis communication plans to manage and mitigate potential risks to the company’s reputation.
- Social Media: Alongside the Social Media Manager, increase the visibility and recognition of Intapp as a vertical AI leader on LinkedIn and via our YouTube channel, building strong relationships with clients, prospects, employees, investors, and partners through meaningful interactions.
What you will need:
- Proven track record of success in leadership roles, leading brand and corporate marketing functions and teams.
- 12+ years of experience in marketing, with strong emphasis in brand, combined with a deep understanding of communications.
- Demonstrated experience and success in brand strategy, management, and campaign development.
- Strong executive communications, leadership and presence.
- Ability to manage through ambiguity and change to drive multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills combined with strong relationship building and management skills. Collaboration and kindness are key to this person’s success.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with media relations, social media, and content development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience in B2B, technology or professional/financial services industry a plus.
