The Director, Marketing Operations is responsible for improving Brother’s strategies for entering the market and supporting the marketing of products throughout their lifecycle. This includes prioritizing the generation of campaign ideas, optimizing performance, and ensuring scalability. In this role, you will lead initiatives across the organization and promote collaboration among a variety of collaborators, including team members from different divisions and business units.

This role directly leads the Marketing Communications team, supporting various business groups. In addition, this role partners with Product Marketing, functional subject matter authorities, and marketing leadership to identify and drive operational initiatives forward. This position will align people, processes, data and technology for Brother International Corporation.

What you’ll do…

Deliver and Optimize Performance of High-Impact Campaigns

  • Champion the definition, planning, development, coordination, and execution of strategic, multi-channel marketing campaigns and journey orchestration, prioritizing the use of important metrics. Drive experimentation, analysis, and optimization across the Marketing Operations team and external agencies to achieve defined goals.
  • Leverage data-driven insights to make informed decisions, track important metrics, and measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Ensure accurate data flow from campaigns to attribution and reporting frameworks by standardizing campaign operations
  • Improve the potential of marketing technology by streamlining tasks, integrating platforms, empowering operations, and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional leads on long-term go-to-market planning and support campaign processes—from planning to implementation to execution
  • Use tools to develop structured systems that drive efficiency and transparency across the company and translate workflow needs into repeatable methods

Strategic Process Leadership

  • Take charge with strong operational skills; establish project management standards by clearly defining project scopes, business requirements, and workflow definitions, all delivered on time and in collaboration with collaborators.
  • Ensure projects are appropriately scoped, resourced, and scheduled by coordinating cross-functional resources, ensuring project timelines and outcomes, and aligning them with each division’s vision and budget.
  • Efficiently allocate marketing budget and resources for optimal value and scalability.
  • Drive performance improvements and process efficiencies, including the creation and management of cross-functional project plans

Talent Management

  • Ensure the development and implementation of core business and brand marketing plans and strategies to achieve overall company objectives
  • Create a productive and efficient environment providing leadership, inspiration and coaching to all team members
  • Develop and implement a strategic vision for marketing operations aligning this to the overall company goals and objectives
  • Perform talent assessments to identify areas for skills improvement within the team, following standard methodologies in the industry, latest marketing innovations, and technological advancements.

About Our Ideal Candidate…

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field

Experience

Minimum 10 years combination of demonstrated experience spanning the following areas:

  • Experience leading a Marketing Communications function for a mid-sized organization
  • Experience leading and developing teams
  • Experience with process improvement, optimization, and documentation

Other Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities

  • Ability to align and build trusted relationships with collaborators from different teams and departments.
  • Ability to lead multiple work streams and dependencies
  • In-depth knowledge of campaign processes and project management, and making everyday operations more efficient, more digital, and more scalable
  • Ability to complete and deliver strategic plans and operational improvements
  • Ability to build, lead, and develop teams to high-performance expectations
  • Strong communication skills (verbal/written/interpersonal)
  • Strong presentation skills, with the ability to present across all levels of the business
  • Ability to manage to a budget

Additional details for this role…

This role will be a hybrid role. Subject to business needs, employees may work remotely up to two days per week. Assigned office days will be determined by managers.

  • The salary (or hiring) range for this position is $140,000 – $175,000 per year
  • Starting salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location, and alignment with market data
  • This position is eligible to participate in the relevant Brother variable pay incentive plan(s). Applicable bonus awards are discretionary and contingent upon 1) achievement of your individual objectives and 2) Brother achieving its corporate and business-level objectives
