The Role

 

Uqora is seeking an experienced and visionary Director, Brand Marketing to lead brand marketing strategy and initiatives. The Director, Brand Marketing will be a brand champion responsible for developing and executing consumer marketing strategies to build brand awareness, enhance brand equity and drive customer engagement + action. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, creativity, and a deep understanding of consumer behavior and market trends.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy Development:Develop and execute brand marketing strategies aligned to Uqora’s business objectives and brand identity.
  • Brand Positioning and Messaging: Define and articulate Uqora’s brand positioning, value proposition and messaging architecture, ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints ensuring Uqora shows up in an ownable and memorable way.
  • Integrated Marketing Campaign Development: Conceptualize and execute integrated marketing campaigns hooked on key consumer insights to effectively communicate Uqora and the product & experience benefits to consumers across the omnichannel.
  • Product Launch Leadership: Drive the successful introduction of Uqora new products to market. Responsible for orchestrating all aspects of the product launch process, partnering internally with project management and leading a cross-functional team.
  • Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and mentor a high performance team of brand marketing professionals fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Lead cross-functionally across a variety of stakeholders such as operations, customer success, finance, retention, innovation and more to support our brand marketing priorities and initiatives.
  • Content Strategy: Develop and oversee content strategy and creation across a variety of channels and mediums, including digital, social media, email, print, retail, DTC, Healthcare provider, and more. As a seasoned story-teller, engage and educate consumers and healthcare professionals about Uqora, Uro-gynecological health, and our solutions. Engage experts, including our Medical Advisory panel, to support our content strategy.
  • Market Research & Insights: Conduct market research, consumer insights, plus category and competitive analysis to inform brand strategy and identify growth opportunities.
  • Campaign & Product Launch Performance Analysis: Define, monitor, and analyze key performance metrics related to advertising campaigns, product launches, and content strategy. Provide insights, recommendations, and use insights and analysis to continuously improve brand marketing efforts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10-12+ years of experience in brand & creative marketing, with a proven track record of developing and implementing successful brand strategies and campaigns
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience leading and inspiring cross-functional teams
  • Strategic thinker with a creative mindset and passion for storytelling
  • Deep understanding of brand building and the creative process
  • Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in health and wellness industry a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required

Preferred

  • Experience working on disruptive consumer brands in CPG, health, and wellness
  • Experience scaling brands across variety of stages, start-up to mid-stage and beyond
  • Master’s degree preferred

Additional requirements

  • Flexible hybrid work environment, with in-office presence at our La Jolla, CA office required on Wed-Thurs.

Annual Pay Range: $143,800-$180,000 per year.

(This represents the minimum and maximum base salary range for this role, plus annual incentive. Various elements are used to determine a candidate’s starting salary such as job experience, specific skills, and comparison to internal incumbents currently in the role.
