Foothill Credit Union is the preferred financial institution for government, healthcare, education professionals, and students in the San Gabriel Valley and beyond! We are looking for a Director of Marketing to lead our very talented and experienced marketing team. In this role, you will work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer, executive leadership team, and other business leaders to identify areas of opportunity that further the growth of Foothill Credit Union. As the leader of the Marketing team, you will ensure that the group maintains a high-performing and fun working environment that includes close partnership with the business development team. As Director of Marketing, you will partner with business stakeholders to identify opportunities to inform, educate, and promote credit union products and services to new and existing members. This role will be critical in meeting or exceeding strategic goals in retention, new members, loan and share growth.

 

The Director of Marketing is responsible for marketing, branding, public relations, online and member communication strategies and tactics. This role tells the rich history of Foothill Federal Credit Union and how we serve our healthcare, education, and government employees in our community through marketing initiatives. This role will help to identify opportunities to connect our products and services to current and potential members. The Director of Marketing will work closely with the CSO, Executive Leadership Team, Directors, Managers, and all levels of the organization to hear the membership’s needs. The Director of Marketing manages a team of two.

 

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct, develop and implement SEG strategies to effectively generate positive community coverage to tell the Foothill story and convey our brand differences.
  • Direct the development and execution of various marketing promotions (both internal and external), including the research and development of concepts, copy, brand management, creative development, advertising, product launch, website, digital marketing, social media, and graphic design that align with Foothill’s business goals brand management, creative.
  • In partnership with the CSO, responsible for the development and execution of the credit union’s annual marketing plan
  • Oversee the electronic marketing tools and solutions (Hubspot, ChannelNet, etc.) to ensure maximum utilization. Continuously looking to make improvements to our marketing processes and targeting.
  • Tracks ROI for marketing campaigns and promotions and prepares board materials for CSO review.
  • Assist the CSO in the strategic development of marketing goals, plans, and programs to ensure the profit growth and expansion of the CSO in the strategic development of marketing goals, plans, and programs to ensure the profit growth and expansion of the credit union’s products, services, and long-term member journeys.
  • Utilizes Credit Union data analytic tools and resources to determine ROI and profitability of marketing campaigns.
  • Coach, train, and provide career development opportunities to the Marketing and Digital Experience teams to maximize their abilities, increase their capacity, and expand their knowledge of marketing concepts, techniques, and strategies.
  • Responsible for establishing goals for the Marketing team and evaluating performance, including writing and delivering merit increases, counseling, and coaching, evaluating performance including writing and delivering merit increases, counseling, and coaching of assigned team members as needed.
  • Member of the pricing committee – directs and develops the new marketing promotions necessary to drive loan, membership, and educational growth.
  • A valid California Class C Driver’s License, a method of transportation when needed to carry out job-related essential functions, and at least minimum automobile insurance coverage as required by the State of California

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of four years of leadership experience
  • Minimum of eight years of experience in marketing, business development, and/or market research or equivalent research analysis
