In this exciting new position for Veson Nautical, you would be tasked with establishing our critical product marketing function. This is a highly visible and collaborative role, reporting to the VP of marketing and working closely with executive leadership and our global teams. From developing our core positioning and market segmentations to conducting customer research, you would be hands-on in aligning core stakeholders and building structure around our go-to-market (GTM) efforts.
Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the product marketing function for Veson Nautical, collaborating closely with product, sales, and executive leadership to establish the market positioning, launch roadmap, and GTM strategy.
- Own and activate product positioning and messaging consistently across the organization.
- Plan and oversee the launches of new products and features, and promotion of existing products/features, and manage the cross-functional implementation of those plans.
- Be the expert on buyer personas. Educate the business on buyer and user challenges and opportunities, across products, verticals, and regions.
- Provide strategic direction for solution-based content in partnership with the Content team, including blogs, website content, guides, and videos.
- Conduct market and win-loss analysis to develop and maintain an ongoing understanding of the changing competitive landscape and identify top product differentiators.
- Collaborate with the Content and Growth Marketing teams to develop omni-channel go-to-market campaigns and content that resonates with our target buyer personas at all stages of the sales cycle.
- Conduct customer and prospect research to understand buyer and user challenges and opportunities.
- Initiate, define and manage market research studies in collaboration with internal and external resources and teams.
- Become a go-to expert on maritime market dynamics, industry trends, and buyer personas and needs.
- Continuously measure and internally socialize how Veson’s go-to-market activities and initiatives support overall revenue growth and client satisfaction.
Qualifications
- 10+ years leading product marketing in a global B2B software setting
- Proven ability to partner with product and sales teams to drive alignment and enact change.
- A strategic mindset to elevate the role of marketing in driving value and measurable business outcomes.
- Comfort with navigating ambiguity and using data to make decisions.
- Ability to present to and engage senior executives.
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills and exacting attention to detail.
- Bachelor’s degree required, degree in marketing, economics, business, or related preferred.
