About The Role
The Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for leading the strategic direction and execution of all sales and marketing activities for the company’s automotive accessory product lines. This role oversees the development and implementation of integrated marketing plans, drives revenue growth, expands market share, and strengthens the company’s brand presence across all channels. The Director works closely with executive leadership to align sales and marketing goals with overall business objectives, manages a high-performing team, and builds strong relationships with key partners, distributors, and customers. This position requires deep industry knowledge, data-driven decision making, and a proven track record in growing product sales within the automotive aftermarket or OEM sectors.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to grow revenue across GM and Ford product lines.
- Manage key account relationships with dealership groups, distributors, and retail partners.
- Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities within the OEM and aftermarket sectors.
- Oversee the creation and execution of brand campaigns, promotions, and digital marketing initiatives targeting GM and Ford vehicle owners and channels.
- Collaborate with product development teams to align marketing messages with accessory innovation and customer needs.
- Manage advertising efforts across trade publications, social media, email, and point-of-sale materials.
- Lead and mentor a team of sales reps, marketing specialists, and account managers.
- Establish performance goals, monitor KPIs, and drive accountability across sales and marketing functions.
- Support inside and outside sales teams with marketing tools and product knowledge specific to GM and Ford platforms.
- Conduct competitive analysis and stay informed on trends in the automotive accessory market, especially related to GM and Ford platforms.
- Gather and interpret feedback from dealers, installers, and consumers to improve go-to-market strategy.
- Maintain strong working relationships with GM and Ford representatives and ensure compliance with branding and compatibility standards.
- Coordinate co-branded marketing efforts or approved vendor programs when applicable.
- Develop and manage sales and marketing budgets; monitor ROI on campaigns and promotions.
- Allocate resources efficiently to maximize revenue growth and brand reach.
- Represent the company at industry trade shows, dealer events, and auto expos.
- Coordinate product displays, marketing materials, and lead generation efforts at these events.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business Administration, Automotive Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in sales and marketing, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience in the automotive industry, specifically with GM and/or Ford accessories, OEM programs, or aftermarket products.
- Strong understanding of automotive accessory products, distribution channels, and dealership operations.
- Familiarity with GM and Ford vehicle platforms, product fitment, and OEM compliance standards.
- Knowledge of B2B marketing strategies in the automotive space.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that drive measurable growth
- Proficiency in digital marketing, brand management, and campaign execution.
- Experience working with CRM systems, sales enablement tools, and marketing analytics platforms.
- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams across sales and marketing functions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong relationship-building skills with internal stakeholders, customers, and OEM representatives.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to execution and problem-solving.
- Willingness to travel to trade shows, key accounts, and OEM meetings as needed.
- Passion for the automotive industry and commitment to staying informed on industry trends.

Salary Band: $245,000-265,000 plus commission DOE
